Chapter 3:Real Or Not Real

Katniss and I are sitting on the couch reading a book, but I can't focus on the words in the story. Im way to busy thinking about Johanna and Gale. Why them? How are they even together? Johanna and Annie live in District 4, but its known that Gale lives in District 2. Something isn't right about this..... Is Katniss just misunderstanding? Is Annie just messing with her? It wouldn't be funny if she was. I don't even know what to tell Katniss anymore! Hmmmm i think I need to talk to Haymitch.

"Hey, um.... Katniss I'm going to head over to Haymitch's house, to... Ya know check up on him ok?" I lie. "Uh ok hurry back." She says with a small smile. I give her a smirk and head out the door through victors village. As I reach near the door I can already smell the choking stench of the drinks he's been drowning in which makes me gag. I welcome myself into his house knowing he will be passed out on the couch, to find him there half awake.

"Hey there boy! What brings you here?" He says with a cough. "Look i need your help." I reply annoyed. "What's wrong now?" He sighs. "Well...uh remember Gale?" I start. "Uh yeah." He answers questionably. "Well apparently, Johanna Mason and Gale are getting married and Katniss is upset about it.... But the weird thing is they don't even live in the same district? I mean sure they could have met up somewhere but still doesn't make any sense." I continue. " Boy your way over thinking this. Love is a strange thing not to be reckoned with, so I would just stay out of it if I were you." Haymitch snares. "Ok...whatever." I say as I walk out the door. He is probably right, it doesn't really even matter I guess, but well it does matter to Katniss. So I'll see what I can find out. Maybe I can stop this.
