A duel for answers

Finally after what seemed like forever the doctor came out to tell us the news. He's going to be fine but that venom was unlike any i've ever seen, because of that i have no idea when he'll regain consciousness. Understood and thanks for what you could do, i said as we all walked into the room.

He looks so helpless, Rose said as i was trying to contain my anger from the sight of a comatosed friend. He won't get away with this i'll make him pay somehow, i said. 

We'll figure it out Duke said as both a response and way of saying i got your back on this. No it'd be easier myself, i lie trying not to show the fact i don't want anyone else getting hurt or killed.

You saw what he's capable of no way you can do this by yourself, Duke says trying to convince me. But i won't be so i rebuttal i know that and he won't be able to surprise me this time. Don't care you're not doing this alone, and who's gonna stop me? I say in return to his threat.

Me, oh right...damn, is the only thing i can say cause no way i can get past him. Quit your arguing you two! It's too late to do anything tonight, Rose sternly says. Fine, we both reply knowing that arguing with her is a death sentence.

Truse? We both ask at the same time, i'm heading to bed i said with Duke saying the same seconds later. I'll stay here with Jake, Rose said as we walked to our rooms. Sorry Duke but i gotta do this on my own, i thought while sneaking to the cybrose room.

I won't let anyone else close to me parish i say as i put my suit on, i won't stop till i find you. I head out on my own in the moonlit wastelands having no clue where to go and what i'll do when i find him.

After hours of wondering around aimlessly i stumbled across what appeared to be an old military base that looked active, this has to be one of their bases, i thought as i climbed the wall and peaked out to scout the insides.

He's here to good now to figure out how to take all those cydroids out, i say while looking at a platoon of cydroids. This is a risk using this much energy but it's my best bet, i say as i jump over the wall alerting them all.

Cybrose restraint release! My suit shines an almost blinding glow and my pistol reforms into a gun that shapes to fit only my hand and with more power then any normal gun could possess. Dodge this! I cockily yell as i fire energy infused bullets down like rain destroying countless cydroids.

Only a few remained so i rushed at them with my now energy infused knife drawn and in an instant they were sliced in half. You're next! i yelled as i pointed my blade at the mystery man who during my assult had released his cybrose energy also.

Where's the rest of your team stuck trying to save an orphan? That remark just fueled my rage even more as i lunged at him to no effect as he simply deflected it with his hand like last time. I don't care what you say i'll make you feel pain! Just try it! We both exchange threats as our blades exchange blows.

How's that skinny guy did he survive? Too bad for him either way. That one comment put me over the edge, i jumped up charging my attack in the process then i quickly came crashing down causing a wave of energy to fly all around me. Luckily for me he didn't have time to react and was hit, unluckily for me that blow drained my power leaving me at a disadvantage.

Not bad but that was stupid and careless, he said as he stood back up readying an attack. I never was the smart or careful type, i smart off while trying to read his next move.

That will be your downfall, he said before unleashing a flurry of blows. Maybe but not today, i say as i try to block the swings. Do to his boost i could barely keep up leaving me to be slashed multiple times, just a little longer i thought to myself while bleeding all over my body.

You should know the name of your killer so my name's King now time to die! He says as he starts to thrust his blade to finish me, no not today! I yell as i thrust back in defense.

Then there was silence, and i reliesed we've both been stabbed with each others blade. Heh looks like it's a tie i jokingly say as my vision blurs and i pass out hoping that bastard does too.
