Shopping trip

i woke up feeling sweaty and gross i needed to freshen up. So i got out of bed and got right in the shower shaving every nook and cranny. I washed my hair and exfoliated my skin. Once i was done that i stepped out and got dressed in a cute top and jeans, I did a light layer of makeup when i heard Alexis talking to some girls i didn't quite know the voices to. I walked downstairs to see Alexis and soda talking to some preppy soc looking girls. 

"Hey Ellie!" soda giggled, motioning for me to come forward. 

"Oh Ellie, this is cherry and Marcia,Cherry,Marcia this is Ellie-" Alexis cheered before the one called cherry cut her off.

 "Oh, yeah Ellie we have met before, you're Dallas's...friend?-"she stated. 

"Girlfriend." i said coldly.

 "Oh well... anyways we are going shopping wanna come with?" Marcia asked. I don't really do well in big crowds especially with Socs but i accepted their offer, not wanting to be rude. "Well Have Fun!" soda smirked and walked off to his room to do god knows what. We started off by going to this fancy diner with funky lights and loud music, i have never been anywhere this big the diner I've really only been to was the dingo. 

We sat down and shortly after a woman with a heavy new jersey accent walked up with a name tag that said Cora. 

"Ready to order ladies?" she looked around the table. i didn't bother to listen to what anyone else ordered i was too busy thinking about what to say and how to say it. 

"what if i stutter? what if they all judge me for what I ordered? what if they don't have what i want?" all these thoughts rush through my head until the waitress snaps me out of my thoughts.

 "uh, um i'll have a 7 up and a chicken burger with fries please. " i try to speak as clearly as possible but it probably came out terribly. 

"alrighty then" she says scribbling down on her notepad. i sit there staring off into space until i hear a familiar voice... Dallas? what the hell is here for? probably here to beat up a soc.

 "Alexis... Ellie? what are you guys doing here with these... socs" he grumbled glaring a cherry. 

"At least i am not a pig, like you" cherry spoke coldly rolling her eyes. 

"That's my boyfriend you're talking about!" i snapped. 

"yeah, a boyfriend that flirted with and assaulted me while he was with you not to mention how he yelled at you for no reason. he seems like a lovely boyfriend, he's a real keeper." Cherry added sarcastically.

"yeah, and you're a real peach yourself. " Dallas hissed.

"at least i'm not a cheater." cherry said, crossing her arms. 

while Dallas and cherry were grumbling at each other i realized what cherry said did Alexis tell Cherry about my fight with dally? I glared at Alexis  "You told them about our fight?" i whisper-yelled. She just slunk down in her seat and shrugged awkwardly. "Yeah... sorry" she mumbled looking back at Marcia. "Dallas, we'll talk about this later." i muttered. "Fine" he grumbled shoving his hands in his old leather jacket and walked off. 

I sat there with my thoughts while they talked until it was time to go and do something else. We all left the diner and walked over to this fancy red car. "wow" i thought to myself as we all got in. We drove for a bit till we pulled up to this massive shopping mall. We walked in and everyone was staring i mean it was bound to happen we are in soc territory. First we stopped at a big clothing store as me and Alexis walked in and an older looking lady with narrow glasses low on her nose and a tight bun in her head. 

"Girls" she said pulling me and Alexis aside.

"Girls, this store is for,um, how do i put this, financially rich people, so maybe you girls should go back to used clothing stores." she muttered rudely. 

"Is there a problem here?" Cherry asked. 

"No valued customer we are taking care of... it" she replied glaring at us. 

"IT? I HAVE A NAME YOU KNOW!" Alexis yelled, making more people stare at us. I glared at Alexis telling her to shut up with my eyes. 

"Ma'am they have money, now can we please go back to shopping." Marcia spoke sternly. 

"Oh, well um of course go back to shopping. " the lady awkwardly cleared her throat. we continued our shopping and i found a dress and a cute shirt. Cherry and Marcia kindly paid for our stuff.  I don't really like cherry but it was nice of her to pay. After shopping we stopped at a smoothie shop in the mall, i don't really like smoothies but who am i to turn down a free smoothie. we sat down at the food court and drank our smoothies, i got a banana kiwi smoothie.  

Our next stop was a record store, i loved music so this was perfect. Once we got there i went to look at all the records i only ever shopped at used places. This was like heaven to me. When i was browsing through all the records I saw that soc guy who tried to pick me up yesterday. "Fuck" i muttered to myself. I went to the back of the store and pretended to look at more records, i don't think he saw me though. None of us got anything so we were leaving when the store alarm went off and a man in a security uniform grabbed Alexis. "Hey!" she yelled. "What are you doing?!" she shouted trying to let go of his grip. then another man grabbed me. "Why me??" i yelped. "You are getting arrested for accessory to shoplifting. "What?! we didn't steal though!" Alexis yelled. "Then what is this?" one of the men pulled a small thing out of her pocket, i didn't even know what it was. "I Didn't put that there!" she yelled. Alexis tried walking off but he handcuffed her taking us to the mall jail. 

Once we were there the men took us to a room not a cell just a room with a few chairs. About ten minutes later Darry came in looking very mad and a slightly amused Steve came in giggling. I walked up to Darry with my head down. "Why the Hell am i getting a call that i need to pick you up out of MALL JAIL for gods sake! I could expect this from Dallas, twobit or even Alexis but you really Ellie?!" Darry yelled grabbing me by the arm. "Darry I didn't do anything!" i shouted back as he and Steve dragged us out of the mall. 

We made it to our car, Alexis went with Steve and i went with Darry in his truck. "Darry... i am sorry but i really didn't do anything at all" i said calmly. 

"I believe you" he spoke equally as calmly. 

"But i don't know if you should go to soc territory too much you never know what they could do." he explained. I rolled my eyes and hugged my knee close to my chest. 

"What?" he asked.

 "Everyone here treats me like i am five and i can't take care of myself, even Dallas." i muttered rolling my eyes again.

  "What the heck do you mean girl?" he asked. 

"everyone acts like i can't take care of myself and i need to be treated like a baby." i mumble looking over at him.

 "Well i am sorry that you think like that but you have jumped like three- " i quickly cut him off. 

"that's Because they all take advantage of me!" i snapped. 

"Well maybe if you would stand up for yourself once and a while then you wouldn't get jumped" he shouted back equally as loud. 

For the rest of the drive i stayed silent sitting there with my thoughts.  Once we got home i walked in with Darry, Steve, and Alexis. When we walked in twobit came up to me and hugged me tightly. "I am so proud of you" he cheered. "Why- oh right two... we didn't steal, Alexis was framed. " i mumbled. "oh, well i am still happy you are okay." he smiled happily.

 After talking and stuff everyone went home and i went to lay down in bed.
