sanzu's sister introduced herself as senju.

she knew a good place to eat within walking distance so you guys followed her there.

you were seated quickly and started looking at the menu for what to order.

"soo, chifuyu told me you guys were living together." senju took a drink as she glanced back and forth between the two of you.

"that guy can't keep his mouth shut." sanzu rolled his eyes.

"so, are you guys dating or?"

"obviously" sanzu rolled his eyes and she kicked him in the shin underneath the table.

"don't act like it's obvious. i've never seen you date someone before."

"well now you have" he shrugged.

"how'd you guys meet?"

"at a party" you spoke.

"that makes sense. so what's your guys' story?"

"we met at a party and then ran into each-other at rehab, both stopped doing drugs, started dating, went to vegas, she took a bullet for me, came back to japan, moved in together, and now we're adopting kittens."

"wow" senju's eyes widened. "i like how you just casually say she took a bullet for you???"

she turns to face you. "are you okay girl? blink twice if you need help. i'll hold him down while you make a run for it!"

you let out a laugh.

"yeah, i'm okay. he's a great boyfriend."

she didn't look convinced as she slowly nodded her head.

"well i'm happy for you guys. you make a cute couple."

the waitress came over and took your orders.

"so what do you do for a living?" senju questioned.

"i work in tech."

"she's super smart. she hacks and shit."

"woah, that's dope!"

"what do you do?" you asked her.

"i'm a youtuber." she smiled.

"that's awesome! what's your channel called? i'll subscribe"

she told you the name and you followed it. she had 1.2 million subscribers. her most recent video was a vlog and you could see chifuyu's pet shop in the thumbnail.

the three of you continued to talk for the rest of the meal.

senju and you got along really well and exchanged numbers while sanzu paid the bill.

you headed back to the pet store.

"i've got an appointment i need to go to but it was great meeting you y/n. we should hang out sometime.. i could introduce you to my other girl friends." she smiled.

"that would be great!" you smiled.

"alright, i'll text you." she leaned in and hugged you before moving to hug her brother.

he awkwardly hugged her back and said his goodbyes.

the two of you entered the pet store.

the man named kazutora was still in the same spot, now playing on his phone.

"you guys ready to take them home?"

"yup"

he grabbed a cardboard crate and walked over to place the kittens inside of it. he placed it on the counter and reached under to grab two collars. coincidentally, one was pink and the other was your favorite color.

"we have a machine over there that engraves the names and your info onto the name tags." he handed you a packet of info.

the two of you went over to the machine. you started by typing in your phone number and address on one side. when it was time to input the name, you turned to sanzu.

"what should  we name them?"

"sanzu jr. and y/n jr." he grinned.

"no" you laughed. "how about i name one and you name the other?"
he nodded in agreement.

he thought of his first and quickly typed it onto the screen. the machine quickly etched it into the tag and dropped it down below so you could pull it out.

you went to pick it up but sanzu quickly grabbed it first.

"you pick the other name and then we'll show each other."

"alright." you smiled and thought for a moment.

you typed in the first thing that came to mind, since the kittens black and white fur resembled one.

after the machine finished engraving it, you pulled it out and covered it with your hand.

sanzu counted to three and the two of you revealed the tags.

his said 'cheesecake'. the long name barely fitting on the tag. you let out a laugh.

"are you serious? how's the kitten going to remember that"

he shrugged.

"we can call her cici for short. since cheese and cake both start with Cs."

"alright."

he looked at the tag in your hand.

"hey! how are you gonna say something about the name i chose when yours is a food too" he joked.

"the food i chose is only 4 letters not 10." you laughed.

"that's true. cheesecake and oreo are pretty good names i think." he grinned.

"not very original" kazutora sighed behind the counter.

you decided to put their collars on when you guys got home.

the two of you had already paid and bought everything yesterday so you guys were good to go. sanzu carried the crate to the car and sat it on your lap.

they were meowing loudly so you opened the top a little bit to stick your hand in and pet them.

"it's okay, we'll be home soon." you spoke softly to them.

sanzu smiled as he drove the two of you back to the apartment.

you sat in the living room on the floor as you opened the box and let the kittens out.

you had set up their litter box and food bowls last night. sanzu bought an expensive robo litter box that cleans itself, so that made things easier.

the kittens walked around the living room. sanzu sat down next to you and one of them crawled onto his lap. the other one came and laid between the two of you.

the collars were beside you so you picked them up and put them onto the two kittens.

sanzu wrapped his arm around you and pulled you closer to him, placing a kiss on your cheek.

you turned to face him and his lips met yours.

as the kiss began to deepen, a loud meow pulled the two of you away from each other. you looked down to see the two of them looking up at you guys expectingly.

you glanced at the clock and figured it was time to feed them. you smiled as you got up and filled their bowls for them.

your heart felt so full of love. love for the two new kittens and love for sanzu.

you never thought that the encounter with him at the party would lead you to where you were now but you were so glad that it did.
