Since our recent move into the new residence, I have been hearing peculiar sounds that awaken a sense of unease within me. However, I have refrained from disclosing these sounds to my spouse and children to alleviate any apprehension within them. Last evening, my daughter Sara witnessed a sighting that compelled me to recognize the validity of these sounds, as she claimed to have observed otherworldly creatures in the atmosphere. It was inevitable that I believed her account, although I assured her that such sightings were a mere fragment of her own imagination.
Yet, that was not the extent of alarming circumstances pertaining to our new dwelling. Our assisting acquaintances, Kevin and Ben, underwent an unnerving occurrence within the confines of our abode. During Kevin's attempt to organize extraneous items within the basement, he heard wailings of women, a disconcerting discovery that led him to conclude that our residence may be haunted. When Ben ventured into the basement, he never resurfaced. Kevin insisted that he witnessed Ben enter, but there was no indication of his exit. Diligently, we searched for him, but to no avail.
Initially, I held onto the notion that Ben may have neglected to notify us of prior plans and departed silently. However, Kevin was unwavering in his account of Ben entering the basement. It was not until later when I was informed by Kevin that Ben never left our villa, for he had vanished without a trace. Those details weighed heavily on me, arousing looming suspicions that a sinister presence loomed within our new home...
