After the incident you thought you would never set foot outside your house again. The fear if having someone watching you from your window had set in. It was only your second day of school and everything made you jump, from the locker slams to the chitters of passersby.

You haven't seen Karkat all morning and to needed someone to talk to. At least to just he your feelings out. It was over whelming and you didn't noticed the mustard blood walking towards you with a look of worry. "(Y/N)? Wath wrong?" He asked with the same lisp that you've come to adore. "Nothing, I'm fine." You looked away, you could tell you had bags under your eyes and that wasn't really helping the situation either.

You felt him put two fingers under your chin bad made you look his way as he lifted you head slightly, "You look like you've theen a ghost." He commented in your current state, that is until he gave you one of those prize winning smile that always made you spill your guys out. "Fine....I may or may not have seen someone staring outside my window looking like Michael Meyers, except it's not even Halloween, so why would he come for me?" You tried to tuck the truth under one of your superstitions, but as always, he saw through it.

"Wait, your telling me that thome random perthon just tho happened to be thtanding outthide your houthe looking through your window?" He questioned with a scornful look. You sighed in defeat, "Yea, but don't worry about me Sollux, I'll be okay."

He looked at you as if you had just slapped him across the face. "(Y/N)?" He called your name. "Hmm?" He stared straight into your (E/C) eyes, "What did I promise you when we kids?" You smirked, "That you were gonna by a house for both of us and fill it with honey?" You replied chuckling, he didn't, "No, I promised that no matter what I would protect you until the end, that other promise was for my hopes and dreams." You could feel your cheeks heating as he wrapped you in a warm embrace, "My honey lovin' hero." You whispered.
