Y/n arrived at the house. She didn't expect much to happen. He knows that by the time she reaches home, she'll just probably go straight to her room and rest.
She opened the door and was surprised to see Jay sitting on the couch while playing with his phone.
She didn't approach him, instead, she went directly to the stairs.
"I'm sorry I couldn't come. I hope you can understand it by now"
Y/n was stopped from taking the first step. She turned her head while her hand was touching the stair holder.
"You know, if you don't want to go out and have dinner with me, you can just tell your dad that we can just have dinner at home together. I'm sure he'll understand that and so do I. At least you don't have to spend money on a fancy restaurant by making all of that reservation. It ain't fun at all eating alone."
She let out with no emotion in her face. It seems like she can't handle Jay's plan of asking her to a dinner but would not show himself up.
Jay on the other hand didn't look at Y/n, he just stood there still while looking down.
She waited for him to give at least a light response but he didn't. She sighed and spoke again.
"Next time, unless it's for a special occasion please don't make any reservations for dinner anymore. I can cook for you if you want. Although I know it too well that you'll eat outside too."
Y/n looks at Jay one last time before making her step upstairs.
Jay just stands there. He knows that what he's been doing is not right but he just can't help with it. He tried everything he could to make Y/n hate her but y/n has something in her that makes her stay. She's just different. He took a deep breath and went to sit down on the couch

Jay who was busy doing his work in his office was surprised to see Jake coming into his office again. He just visited him yesterday and he came again today. There must be an important thing to tell, so he thought. He smiled to look up at him
"Jake, nice to see-"
"Jay, I need to ask you something."
Jake moved to Jay's desk and stared at him with a serious face.
"O-okay, what is it about?" Jay said looking up at him in confusion.
"It's about Y/n"
Jay thought again. "What about her?" he said with a smile.
"I went to see her last night like you told me" He was surprised yet confused at his friend's statement.
"Okay , so?"
"I saw her last night. She sat there alone in a romantic decorated room and tables waiting for you even though she knew you'd never come. Also, explain the fact that you hate to call it a Date and just consider it dinner."
"So you went there yesterday" Jay let out blankly.
"I did".
"What more do you want me to explain to you? Jake, I have no choice." Jay stated letting it all out.
"You always have a choice, Jay." Jake said with a serious face but with full of emotion.
"Yeah but not on this one!"
Jay slightly shouted as he was getting frustrated with Jake setting him up with Y/n even though he clearly told him that he didn't like her.
Jake then ran his hand through his hair as he let out a sigh.
"What do you want me to do then?" Jay said looking at him.
"Make her feel like a woman please. Nor at least, make yourself a man". Jake blurted out one last time before leaving and shutting the door loudly.
Jay sighed and stared at his laptop again. He is so confused right now. Why would Jake care about Y/n anyway? But come to think of it again. Jake was right. He should be a man at least.
He thinks for a while before he suddenly thinks of something.
"I know what I'm gonna do"

It was around 7 o'clock when he arrived at the house. Jay went home early so he could ask the maid to cook the food early. He's planning to eat together.
And so he went directly to the Kitchen to ask them and prepare the food while he got cleaned up. He waited till 8 till he finally heard someone opening the door. He asked the maid to tell y/n to go directly into the kitchen to have their dinner.
Y/n opened the door when she was greeted by their maid.
"Hello Miss"
"Hello," Y/n tiredly responded after she had a long day.
"Sir Jay is waiting for you in the dining room"
"Really?" She asked in surprise and confusion.
She went to the dining room and was surprised to see that there was a lot of food on the table. He looked up only to see Jay waiting for her.
Jay thanks the maid and asks them to leave the two of them for a while. They all bowed down and left. Y/n was still dumbfounded.
Jay looks back at her slowly.
"Have a sit" he said gesturing her.
She sat slowly and he did the same thing too.
There was silence again between them.
"I'm sorry"
Y/n looked to see Jay. She was kind of confused and surprised by what he just said.
"You were right, I shouldn't have lied to my dad and left you all alone. It was very unthoughtful of me. I'm sorry"
Y/n nods her head. "It's okay," she put a spoonful of rice in her mouth. She didn't know what got into him but at least he apologized right?
There was silence again in the room.
The two of them stopped for a while.
"Starting from today, I will not make any reservations anymore. Unless it's for the real one. We'll just have dinner at home instead" he said slightly avoiding her looks.
Y/n just smiled while looking at Jay. She knows that deep down Jay is a good person with a good heart. She was so happy to see this side of him.
"Okay," Y/n gives Jay a warm smile and the two of them continue having their dinner.
After done, they went directly to each other's bedroom to get some rest.
