A bright light shone through the dark night and collided with the three. It flew upward, at an angle, and exploded in a pillar of golden shine. The three stuck in Bungee Gum fell on the ground, not strong enough to continue going.

Rhongomyniad was an overwhelmingly powerful ability. An Enhancer/Emission ability gathered Aura into a Spear using Shu and used that aura membrane to keep Ren, Gyo, and Zetsu. It was essentially Ko but on an item. That Ko was then launched at high speeds in a beam. The ability itself was not that powerful by itself, but it had 13 restrictions. It was essentially an exact copy of Fate. The number of restrictions it had made its enhancement obvious.

"Admit defeat," I said, looking at the three on the ground. The spear in my hands turned to dust. They were on the ground, incapable of moving, I could tell they were not faking it from their aura. It was almost not there, they had used up all of it to defend against Rhongomyniad and still had taken enough damage. "You did lose,  didn't you."

Silva closed his eyes and lowered his head with a huff. Two affirmations down.

"Guess we did...Cheeky brat." Zeno looked at me with a scowl. I lowered myself and crouched in front of both of them with my Skill Hunter Book. "How did you manage to keep that book closed while using other people's abilities? I thought you were restricted to only being able to while having it open on the page and while touching it."

"What constitutes as "me"?" I asked, releasing the book and letting it float around me. "I asked myself that question quite a bit when modifying this ability. You see, that weakness sucks." The book circled around me like a planet around its sun, "Then I figured it out. I am me, so whatever comes out of me, is part of me. It's simple and childish... maybe that's why younger people have a better time with Nen." I went on a random tangent about children and how well-suited they are for Nen thanks to their creativity and flexibility. Then stopped, "Whoops... my bad. Anyway, the idea is that my Nen is me, so having it touch the book is enough."

"That doesn't answer how it was possible for you to use abilities with the book closed." I knitted my eyebrows and had the book fly into my hand. Maybe it was easier talking to them because the threat of death didn't loom above me every second of our conversation.

"That's easy enough," I told him, opening the book, then closing it again, "Do you need to open a book to know what it's about? Not really. It may be a book, but it's really a library of information. It's just the manifestation of the ability. The real ability, I changed it to here, "I tapped my temple, "All I have to do is think of the ability I want from inside, and it'll appear."

I crouched in front of Silva and tapped him on the back of his head using the book. Instantly, several abilities popped into my mind. I could only steal one ability at a time with Skill Hunter, which meant I had to choose carefully. "There's actually another use of that ability, I am guessing." Silva guessed correctly.

"That's right." I told him while thinking of abilities that would be useful, "Originally, Skill Hunter could only steal Hatsus, however, this one is different. Mine steals abilities of all kinds." I chose one and it appeared in my book.

Nen Type: Transmutation (120%), Enhancement (80%)

Ability Type: Passive

I improved the pages so they specified what kind of ability I would be getting. I ripped the page containing Silva's ability, then ripped it to pieces. Then I moved to Zeno, he had the same abilities as Silva, except his Nen ability was more interesting to me. As long as my mind wasn't destroyed, the ability would be active -- that's what Passive abilities meant. They were always on and constantly working. What they did was utilize transmutation for me, changing my body to whatever I stole.
