The beginning of a friendship.
[[Elizabeths pov.]]
Gemma Waters has been friends with Elizabeth Jayden ever since they started preschool together, it's a very unlikely pairing considering the two is different like the sun and moon but for some strange reason the universe put them together and made them inseparable ever since.
Hearing my phone buzz upon the desk in my room, I take a deep breath as I answered the call from my best friend who sounded extremely excited and hyped up like a girl on Christmas morning.
"Wait hold on gem... deep breaths girl! I can't understand a single word you're saying."
I let out a soft chuckle just fiddling with some pens upon my desk.
"You won't believe who I just saw! You know the YouTubers Sam and Colby, right? Well they're in our town right now! I think they're looking for volunteers for their next ghost hunting video and I couldn't resist popping our name up!"
Gemma's voice echoed through my ears as I struggled to place everything together for a moment. Of course I knew about Sam and Colby as I saw a few videos of them and they're pretty damn popular.
"Gem wait... are you saying you suggested our names for a scary ass YouTube video?"
Of course I'm extremely skeptic about the paranormal and think most of YouTube ghost haunting videos is fake for views and giggles.
"Lizzie come on! It will be fun to do some exploring with two very good looking guys in the dark and alone."
Her voice purred out like a kitten in my ears and I rolled my eyes, shaking my head a little.
"Oh my god you are the worst and I hope you know that... but I'm sure a laugh wouldn't hurt."
I could hear the smile through gems voice as she spoke her next sentence.
"I love you so much Lizzie!!! We got to meet them first I said we meet them at the pub around the corner, it's quiet there and no fans will lurk about because no one hardly knows the place."
Taking a deep breath, I bobbed my head a little.
"I'll meet you there soon then."
"See ya bestie! You will not regret this!"
As she hangs up, I sat down at my desk just listening to the dead line of the phone and just realised the shit I just agreed to. Going to unknown place with two guys they just met all in front of millions of people for their YouTube channel, there's a huge chance it's all fake and I would get mocked for it and even judged.
Overthinking and anxiety sucks.
Taking a shaky breath, I took a quick shower and placed my favourite grey hoodie on along with a pair of skinny jeans as I received a text from Gemma.
