I awoke to a drunk voice screaming my name.
"GET UP YOU WORTHLESS BRAT!" It said.
Then I realized it was my father.
"NOW!" He yelled again.
I quickly jumped out of bed and got dressed in my only outfit (a t-shirt and jeans) as I heard him climbing up the stairs.
Yes, I said climbing. And no, our stairs are stairs. Not ladders.
Don't you remember me saying he was drunk?
"YOU STUPID GIRL! WHY AREN'T YOU READY YET?" He said as he charged into my room.
"You just woke me up five minutes ago..." I mumbled, but regretted it as soon as those words slipped out of my mouth.
"What did you say?" He asked.
"Nothing," I said.
"I said, WHAT DID YOU SAY?!" He repeated.
Then he picked me up and threw me across the room into a vase beside my bed.
The vase shattered to pieces, and I looked at my arm.
It was full of glass, and blood was trickling down in every direction.
How will I go to school like a normal young adult now?
The last thing I remember before I woke up again was dad's fist being launched at my face.
