"IM HERE FOR MS. PARKER," Kasama lowly told the receptionist, his voice barely breaking through the hum of chatter in the waiting area. The darker-skinned woman began tapping her long acrylic nails against the keyboard, her eyes darting between the screen and the various clients who filtered in and out of the office.

Kasama stood there, shifting his weight from one foot to the other as he analyzed the room. This would be his first time coming to this office, and he already didn't like the idea of having yet another therapist.

"Kasama Gaulden?" the lady verified. He gave her a nod and began looking at all the motivational posters on the wall, each one more cliché than the last. 'Believe in yourself' 'Your story isn't over' "You are stronger than you think." He rolled his eyes at the platitudes.

"Okay, you can go ahead back to room 117 on the right side," she instructed. Kasama muttered a 'thanks' before walking toward the doors that led to the back.

He stuffed his hands into his pockets as he read the numbers on the walls, each step echoing in the quiet corridor.

'114'
'115'
'116'
'117' he read, finally stopping at the door. He raised his right hand to knock but hesitated, feeling the weight of uncertainty settle on his shoulders. With a deep breath, he knocked lightly on the steel door.

"Come in," he heard a light, feminine voice call from inside. He pushed the door open and stepped into the brightly colored room.

As soon as he entered, he noticed a lighter-skinned woman sitting on a couch, writing on the clipboard in her hands.

"Good evening, Mr. Gaulden," the woman said with a warm smile.

Lips. That was the first thing Kasama thought of after seeing her. She had huge lips that could grasp anyone's attention if they even glanced her way. It was as if she were a life-sized Bratz doll.

"Damn," Kasama thought while admiring her beauty, feeling his heart skip a beat at the unexpected attraction he felt. Just in the past day, he had come into contact with two of the most beautiful women he had ever laid eyes on.

"Yo," he responded, trying to keep it short and sweet, but his nervousness seeped into his voice.

"You gonna stand there the whole session?" she laughed, her tone lightening the mood.

Kasama twisted his lips at her before walking over to the plush couch that sat across from the soft chair she occupied. As he sank into the cushions, he fidgeted, playing with a loose string in his jeans.

"It's nice to meet you, Mr. Gaulden. I'm Ms. Parker," she introduced with a smile that lit up her face.

Kasama nodded, still unsure how to navigate this interaction.
