Sevyn sprawled across her leather couch in her apartment, the walls decorated with bold art and the air thick with the haze of incense. Empty Chinese containers littered the coffee table, remnants of last night's events that she didn't bother to clean up. She sighed, taking in the mess, but it didn't bother her much. To her, chaos was a way of life.
"Bitch, you need to get this shit together," Scotty, her best friend, called from the kitchen, her voice dripping with playful sarcasm as she leaned against the counter, arms crossed.
Sevyn shot her a look, rolling her eyes. "You too much in my business for me," she replied, her tone teasing.
"I'm supposed to be, now get up." Scotty laughed, snatching a half-empty bottle of wine from the table and taking a swig.
"Why you even here? Don't you have a dick that you're scheduled to suck?" Sevyn replied, a smirk on her lips as she reached for the wine, giving Scotty a playful nudge.
"Oh, you got jokes? That's why you're here, drowning in sesame seed chicken and bad decisions? Damn junkie." Scotty teased, her eyes glinting with mischief.
"If I'm a junkie, then what are you?" Sevyn shot back, a playful smile crossing her face as she leaned back, her head hitting the couch.
"You too much in my business for me", Scotty shot back mockingly
"And I'm bout to be in it even more. What nigga you been fucking on ?", Sevyn quizzed while eyeing her bestie who had markings all over her neck
"Girl, nobody important," Scotty shrugged, trying to play it cool, but the glint in her eyes gave her away.
"Mhmm. I bet," Sevyn replied, not pressing it anymore.
"And what about you? Who you been fucking on?" Scotty flipped the question back, genuine curiosity creeping into her tone.
Sevyn rolled her eyes again, dismissing the question.
"What about that one nigga you just met? Kasama, huh? Hit him."
As if she hadn't already thought about that.
"Nah." She paused, contemplating the younger boy for a moment. "He not just a quick fuck. I gotta take my time with him," Sevyn responded, an evil smirk plastered across her face, making Scotty giggle.
"You plotting on him, ain't it?" Scotty continued to laugh, clearly enjoying the gossip.
"You know I am. I'll talk to him soon," Sevyn said, biting her lip as she thought about the way Kasama's eyes lit up when he first saw her. He was different, and that intrigued her more than she cared to admit.
