Victoire Weasley and the Betrayal (book one)

triple - crossed

I woke up to a pretty nice day. I was so excited, the holidays were coming and today was a Hogsmeade visit. Then I remembered I was going with Luke and Ali because I was pretending to be best friends with them so I could learn their plan. Disappointment coursed through me.

I quickly got dressed and went to meet Luke in the Great Hall. Did I mention this is a date and we're girlfriend and boyfriend now. I'm still with Teddy of course but we have to pretend we're broken up.

Ali caught up with me. I put on a fake smile. "Hey Ali why are you late?"

She smiled evilly. "Nothing."

That look on her face, that evil smile could never mean anything good but she probably doesn't want to say what she was doing in a room full of people.

Luke wanted to take me somewhere special so he blindfolded me. The air got chillier and chillier and suddenly I was being carried down a flight of stairs.

     I was put in a chair and I felt rope being tied around me. I was gagged and I started kicking my feet but then they were tied up too.

     The blindfold was pulled off of me. I opened up my eyes and I saw Luke and Ali standing in front of me with my wand and their wands in front of them. Luke smiled evilly. "You didn't think we'd figure out that the double crossed was double crossing us," He walked closer to me. "Triple Crosser. You don't get a choice anymore, your ours now. Your mine and there's nothing you or your friends can do about it. Didn't I tell you what I want I get. I guess not. Oh and incase you think there's even a slim chance you can be saved,  there isn't because I planted a fake trail. Your little lover boy is going to think he's rescuing you,  and when he turns "you" around he'll see your cousin, that girl who looks like around younger version of you."

Teddy's POV

      I was so scared. We saw Victoire getting dragged somewhere. She was dropping little stones on the floor so we'll be able to follow her.

       We split up. I go with Emma and Hanna, and Caleb and Damian go off together. That Luke better not be hurting my girl.

       There were three trails if little gemstones. Emma,  Hanna and I chose one and started following it.

       After an hour of walking we reached a shed. I raced towards it and flung open the door. Mine, Emma, and Hanna's wands flew out of out hand. We had to go through an obstacle course  full of fire and other puzzles.

      We started walking. First we had to walk across a floor that you can only step on certain tiles or you'll freeze to the tile. There were a few hints of what to step on.

Beware of the tiles that are shaped like hearts.

Make sure not to step on darts.

And remember avoid the flashing ones unless you can help it.

This was really strange. There were three different ones. Emma chose one and went first. We couldn't help her either.

She got across safely and I let out a breath. Hanna chose one of the remaining boards and went. Everything was going fine until she got stuck between one with a target (step on it and you get darts shot at you and the darts are full of poison) and a heart shaped one. The only other one was a flashing one. She stepping on it and she froze (figuratively) like she was put in a full body bind. Her body started shaking and she was being slammed across across the floor repeatedly. She was bleeding badly but I couldn't do anything about it. I ran across to a crying Emma.

        I put her on my back and walked into the next room. We had to walk across nails. I put her on my back and raced across, but i tripped and Emma flew off. She tried to keep her balance and land on both feet but she landed on one foot and I heard a loud crack and she was on the floor. We heard screaming so I picked her up and ran out of the room.

         Next room was full of bludgers and we had to crawl to avoid them. I had to put Emma down. We were both crawling when  bam! - a bludger slammed into my face. My nose was definitely broken and I felt the blood running down my face. We both got hit a few more times until we finally made it out.

        We had to climb up thorns to get into the last room. Emma couldn't walk and while I was trying to climb and pull her up  at the same time I twisted my arm back and we both fell. We were covered in blood and thorns. Eventually we made it up there. I threw Emma up and she manged to make up to the top and she helped me up.

         In the last room our wands were lying  on the floor. I picked them both up and with my good arm and Emma hers. There was a dude guarding a small door but I punched him in the face. I ran into into the next room with Emma limping behind me and I saw blonde hair. I ran and untied - wait this isn't Vic! It's her cousin, the pretty one. She was beaten up. Suddenly the room spun and we were outside the shed in the forbidden forest. I'm glad I was practicing Apparition and I manged to apparated us to the outskirts of Hogsmeade. After about an hour we manged to walk to the school.

       It was dinnertime when we all dragged ourselves in. Everyone turned to look at us and Damian and Caleb ran towards us. Caleb's smile faltered. "Where's Hanna?"

I winced. " We weren't able to get her back and I think she might be -" I couldn't finish but Caleb understood. He started crying and last thing I remember was hitting the floor.
