Victoire Weasley and the Betrayal (book one)

The Hospital Wing

Madam Pomfrey paced the floor.  "They'll both be okay. I don't know exactly what happened,  it'll be investigated."

       Suddenly the door opened and in stomped in Teddy. He ran to me. "Vic thank god your ok!"

I just stared at the floor. I didn't want to speak. Two of my best friends were in a coma called "The Sleeping Beauty Coma." You can only be woken up by a kiss from your one true love. They were both knocked out. We don't think Hanna is in the coma, we think that once Caleb fell into the coma she felt the emotion so deeply in her heart she passed out.

            Teddy just held me while I sobbed against him. I can't believe that this year has had so much tradegy and all.

            Caleb's family had arrived. We greeted Mr Finnigan. Our families were friends. He was with little daughter Natalie. Caleb rarely talked about her, but when he did he was always smiling. I don't think Caleb had such a close connection with his mother and half sister Jessica. They didn't live with him because his mother left to go live with Jessica. She visited him and Natalie all the time buy not as many times as he wanted her to.

          Hanna's family came soon after. She had four siblings who were quadruplets.  She was oldest and the only witch in her family. Her little siblings were looking around in awe. I knew her father had left  after the quadruplets were born.

               The families started chatting nervously. Hanna suddenly woke up, clutching her heart. She started screaming in pain. Her little siblings started sobbing into their mother. She looked stressed out and worried.

                Damian came running in carrying Emma. He put her down and hugged her as she cried. We were all just sitting in a corner crying. "Sammy and Ali are researching antidotes so that's why they aren't here." Emma managed to sob.

               Natalie came running over to us. "I tree year owd. Caweb my brother. Why don't he pway wit me?"

           "Natalie sweetie your brother us very sick right now. Come and sit on the floor and me and Teddy will tell you a story. I called over to Hanna's little brothers and sisters. They all sat down and looked at me. All i could think of was the Muggle story, Sleeping Beauty.

"Once upon a time there was a queen and king who gave birth to a beautiful little girl. They made a big party for her and....."

        I looked down at the floor to see all the little kids curled up on the floor all asleep. Hanna's mom looked relieved.

Headmistress McGonagall said we can all stay in a small room in the hospital wing so we're close to them in case Hanna wakes up and is able to wake up Caleb.

           Emma and I changed into our pajamas and the boys changed into theirs. I climbed into bed and fell into a fitful sleep snuggled up against Teddy.

           I had a dream that I was a princess being chased by a snake who siad if i don't kiss it, it'll turn me into a snake. I woke up in tears, all sweaty. I poked Teddy a few times until he woke up. He looked up at me groggily. "Vic?"

I put my finger over his lips and pulled him into the bathroom so we wouldn't wake Emma and Damian.

      "Vic it's like three in the morning what's wrong?"

"I had a scary dream and I can't sleep. I need you now. I'm sorry I woke you."

"It's OK Vicky. I'll stay awake with you."

"No we need sleep let's go back to bed."

He kissed  me and we walked back to bed. He wrapped his arms around me and I fell into another scary dream.

         Ali and Sammy had come in late last night and fell asleep in the other bed. They were so tired we let them sleep until they were ready to wake up.

          I was exhausted.  I barely slept because of all my nightmares and I know Teddy didn't sleep to well either. Emma and Damian looked dead. I don't think either of them got a wink of sleep. Poor us.

           Apparently during the night Hanna kissed Caleb awake, and now they were both sleeping. We were sent back to our common rooms.I can't wait to reunite with Hanna. She is one of my best friends after all.

I went back to the hospital wing in the afternoon. Emma came with me. Caleb and Hanna were still asleep, and so were Sammy and Ali. Out of the corner of my eye i saw Luke glaring at something and before i could see what he was staring at he was gone. I shook it from my mind and totally forgot about it.
           "They look so... dead" Emma whispered quietly. "Look at the little kids so adorable playing without any idea what's going on."
I simply nodded my head. Tears were streaking down our cheeks.

Hanna's POV
It's been a week since Caleb and I woke up. Everything is back to normal. The Slytherin's hate us more than ever but that all the drama really. I'm the Quidditch team, we're all working really hard. We really want to win the cup this year.
         It was a normal day like no other. I was happily with Caleb. He had carried me bridal style to the Great Hall because I was didn't want to wear shoes. He made me my cofee. We argued about Quidditch with Vic and Teddy, while Emma, Damian,  and Ali discussed something else.
          Then the mail came. Vic got a letter from her family asking her how she was doing. Teddy got a letter from his godfather and Emma and Damian got a letter from his parents. Caleb didn't get a letter because he just saw his family. I was surprised when an owl dropped a letter for me. I only get letters back when I send something to my mum.
          I knew something was wrong when I saw the seal of the ministry over it. Caleb looked over my shoulder.
Miss Hanna Jones,  we regret to inform you that a wizard against Muggleborn's went to your house and murdered your siblings and mother. We are currently searching for the killer and your father. We are very sorry for your loss. 
The letter continued saying some details about the funerals but I had stopped reading. Caleb looked at me, his face pale. I was sobbing hysterically. It was all my fault. If I hadn't been a witch they never would've been noticed. If I hadn't been with a Slytherin,  if they hadn't come to visit me, maybe they would still be alive. All those young innocent souls who didn't even get a chance to live. They were so young, so young.
          I jumped out of my seat and ran out of the Great Hall. I was sobbing. I couldn't stop. Caleb ran after me. He didn't say anything,  he knew what I needed the most right now was a hug. He sat down next to the fireplace and layed me down of his lap.                        
I see my friends gathered around with worried faces. I refuse to speak to anyone. I see Vic bring Caleb some food. Caleb forces me to eat something.
       Eventually Caleb picks me up and takes me to his dorm. I finally fall asleep, but when I do I have a nightmare.
My two little sisters Katie and Diane stand with my two little brothers, Jason and Dylan. They're all smiling at me. Suddenly a bunch of hooded people walk up to them. I try to scream, to warn them, but it's too late. The people point their wands and say "Avada Kedavra" I pray that my mother stays away but after hearing the bangs she walks in. I scream but the scream makes no sound. They're all lying on the floor like lifeless dolls.
         I wake up, breathless. I sit up. Caleb stirs. He looks up at me. I'm shaking. He wraps his arms around me. He rocks me to sleep. I never end up falling asleep, and neither does Caleb. I cried the whole night in his arms.
