The Nerd and Popular guy 📖🩷

"For this assignment it will have challenges that I didn't specifically teach you but if you remember what I have taught you then you'll answer the question with ease. Do not worry, I will assign you a partner, I'm not that mean." Mr. Lee, their physics teacher, said as he handed out three sheets of paper, problems on the front and back of them all.

"I'll say your name and your partners name and you'll both stand up since I don't expect all of you to know each other." He went back to his desk to grab a paper that presumably has everyone and their partners name on it.

"Hwang Yeji and Shin Ryujin" the two girls stood up. They were sat next to each other and high fived, happy of their pairing.

"Park Jay and Nishimura Riki" the two boys fist bumped as they stood up for Mr. Lee to mark them off his list.

"Kim Sunoo and Yang Jungwon" They hugged when they stood up and Sunghoon knew he would be with someone he either knows and doesn't like or he doesn't know them.

Jungwon and Sunoo looked over to see if Sunghoon was mad. He wasn't and they expected that, Sunghoon is quite nice to knew people and tends to like socializing.

"Park Sunghoon and Sim Jake" Sunghoon raised a eyebrow, I don't recognize that name? Sunghoon is popular so why wouldn't he know everyone's name?

When he stood he saw, presumably Jake, stand as well. He was a couple rows behind him and was stunning. Sunghoon looked at him and once he registered the boy is hot he immediately looked back to Mr. Lee.

When Sunghoon sat down the boy next to him whispered, "Jake is crazy good at physics, consider yourself lucky" he nudged his shoulder. Sunghoon doesn't know the boy too well so he was kinda confused but the boy of course knows him well so he doesn't blame him for acting like they are close.

"Thanks" Sunghoon nodded to the boy who eventually went back to his own world which Sunghoon was thankful for.

Sunghoon decided to do what he does best while Mr. Lee continues to announce names, think.

He's so hot, but how have I never even noticed him. There is no way I missed a cute boy like that in the hallway. Am I in my own world too much? Sunghoon took a little peak at Jake, who saw him look. Shit, now he thinks I'm a weirdo! He definitely is hot. Who knew a nerd could be so good looking? Gosh Sunghoon stop worrying about his looks! What if he is a horrible person, mean to his parents, and a jerk to everyone?

Sunghoon noticed a figure in front of him. It was Jake. "Mr. Lee told us to get to know our partners" Jake may be a nerd but his looks are quite the opposite of what you would call a nerdy look. His hands in his pockets showed his confidence, it shook Sunghoons ego a bit.

"Y-yeah, you can sit here" Sunghoon pointed at the empty seat next to him as Jake nodded. Why did I stutter!? Sunghoon has never stuttered, it was a weird moment for him.

"So, what are you like?" Jake asked, leaned on his hand looking at Sunghoon.

"Uh," Sunghoon didn't expect for him to not know him. "I don't really know?" Sunghoon shrugged. He just acts naturally so knowing how he is like is hard to know.

"Okayyy?" Jake raised a eyebrow. "Well I'll just take you to my place after school, does that work?" Sunghoon was surprised but liked how straightforward he was.

"Yeah that works" Sunghoon nodded.

"Let's talk when we see each other, you know so it's not so awkward to work together." Jake stood as Sunghoon nodded. He went back to his seat as Sunghoon processed that whole interaction.

"What was that?" Niki nudged Sunghoons arm as the rest of his friends came into view of his eyes.

"I don't even know." Sunghoon was shocked to his core. Why does he like this boy so much? He literally just met him.
