You wriggled your fingers anxiously and inhale then exhale. 'We're all waiting darling.' Cruella sits down popping her leg up on the chaise. You ignore her staring at the large fireplace in front of you. 'There was a woman...a princess, a horrible screaming man, he opened a door in the wall.' You laugh catching yourself. 'Walls opening.' that sounds so made up. Horace and Jasper share a look of confusion. Cruella watches you suspiciously. The Baroness raises an eyebrow as she watches you with no clue what the hell you are babbling about.

In front of you is a giant house it's like a castle of sorts or something in a fairytale book the gardens are filled with beautiful roses. A woman holds your hand as you enter the grand building, the woman leans down to talk to you. 'I need you to behave just stay here I have an old friend I need to chat with don't cause any bother.' she's firm. The woman leaves this is one of the only memories you have of your mother and it's such a beautiful place you often wonder if you made it all up. Now you intended to keep your promise but a massive castle was right in front of you, of course, you were going to explore. You turn and see a scary knight's armor it's just decorative but to you as a young child it looked frightening. 'Mum!' you took off running as fast as your little legs could carry you. You collide hard with someone soft black velvet against your face stepping back you look up with tears in your eyes hoping your mother will protect you.

Looking up you find yourself looking at the most beautiful woman you have ever laid eyes on she had to be a princess she just had to be. She looked exactly how a princess would look in every story you had ever read. This woman has stunned you. You are in front of a real-life princess. 'What the hell?' she looks down at you seeing the tears in your eyes. 'John, what is this?' she frowns, you put slightly, you are not a "this". 'I believe it's the Baron's....her mother is the one in the office.' John explains. There is shouting and screaming in another room somewhere. The Baroness swallows looking uncomfortable. She sees you are scared and her haughty demeanor doesn't help. The Baroness does not have children, she has never been around any, and the fact you are her husband's child to some servant makes matters worse. She considers walking away but she feels a twist in her heart. She also has been a personal victim of the Baron's temper no child should see- she looks down seeing the small girl hugging her legs in fear as the shouting gets louder. The Baroness awkwardly pats your head. 'That's enough.'

The situation is horrible but John is trying his damnedest not to laugh at how uncomfortable his boss looks. There is a bang inside the office both you and the princess jump. 'Heaven's sake.' she mutters under her breath glancing at the door and then looking at you. 'I've someone who would like to meet you.' she announces. You sniff staring up at her with large curious eyes. 'Would you like to meet my dog? Che.' You love dogs you always pet the scruffy old mut that hangs around your building even though Mum tells you not to. The princess takes you to her Dalmatian. Spotting the spotted dog you are delighted and run towards her kneeling down beside the animal and counting her spots. 'Why is her tummy so big?' The Baroness kneels down resting a hand on the dog's swollen tummy. 'She is to have babies. Isn't that exciting?' You smile and nod the Baroness has a diamond neck you reach out touching it quite happily with no idea you are in her personal space, Victoria leans back from you staring with wide eyes. You let go and go back to the dog. Your mother emerges from the office in tears. 'Should I not gain a son the girl will inherit it all, there is still hope.' The Baron drunkenly slurs his words. 'Get away from her you witch.' Your mother snatches her child from the Baroness. 'Stop.' The Baron speaks and the woman stops in her tracks.

'This is her? My daughter.' the Baron is stunned. 'Why is her hair? Why is her hair unkempt? It should be styled neatly.' The Baron eyes you and you immediately don't like him. 'Other than that her features are remarkable I must say.' Your mother in tears angrily shoves him. 'Don't you dare look at her, you forced me into this and now won't even support me!' she is angry and crying. The young beauty the Baron is married to shields you from the scene. 'John, do something.' she hisses. John opens his mouth but he doesn't know what to say. Suddenly you get up and run away from all the shouting. 'Oh for heaven's sake!' The Baroness is exasperated she gets to her feet smoothing down her elegant gown. She looks at the Baron in disgust as he continues to argue with the woman. 'John, help me find her.' they take off going in different directions. Victoria's hips sway her heels click against the floor. 'Darling?' she calls out entering the sitting room. You hide quietly behind an armchair watching as the beautiful woman tries to find you. Victoria looks around and leaves to check another room.

The Baron enters walking up to the fireplace he presses in the brick of the three-headed dog. It causes a hidden drawer to open just above the fireplace he places something inside of it.You are in a white room with a table and chairs outside it you can hear other children playing. Your mother is crying she leans down to you. 'I'm so sorry. But this is for the best, I can't be an unmarried mother I have to leave you now to give me my best chance.' You don't understand what is going your mother kisses your forehead and leaves. That was the last time you ever saw her. You moved around different foster homes it never worked out you spent most of your daying drawing princesses thinking of one in particular. You can't help but imagine the princess coming to save you and taking her to live in her gigantic castle. A girl walks up and pours her juice over your drawing. 'Princesses are stupid!' That was your first official fistfight. A social worker separates you both and you are taken to an empty room. 'This fascination has to stop!' You jump as she shouts at you.

'Princesses are real!' you stomp your foot. 'Yes, yes, they are,' she kneels down and is eye to eye with you. 'But you are a mean snotty unwanted little girl that causes fights, you will never be a princess you are never going to even meet a princess. Why? Because you are a rude stupid child.' your eyes have angry tears. 'I seen one!' you scream. The woman closes her eyes with exasperation. 'Until you drop this constant lying we are going to prohibit your drawing, you will not be allowed to do art anymore. Understood?!' Tears filled your eyes and you did stop talking about princesses, but you never drew again. As such a young child you had been betrayed at every turn and grew thoroughly disenchanted with life. You became bitter about happy families, of rich celebrity types, people who had it all when you had nothing. You did however get into a lot of fights.

You press the brick of the three-headed dog on the fireplace and out pops a drawer just like in your dream. Victoria tilts her head she's shocked.

Bad things happen to the people you love

Silence has filled the room, and Cruella jumps to her feet.

And you find yourself praying up to heaven above

You take out the document and to your shock read it very clearly. 'Name of mother, name of father, the birth certificate of the honorable (y/n) Von Hellman.

But honestly, I've never had much sympathy

Your hand starts to shake and it's the bald guy in the penguin suit that breaks the silence. 'The Baron sired two children, in the hopes of procuring a son. The Baron's fortune is bequeathed to his firstborn daughter. Your mother told me you had died.'

'Cause those bad things, I always saw them coming for me

You feel sick.
