Never the popular one nor the center of attention.
always the backup plan, the afterthought, the extension.
I am that one call away friend,
who will stand by your side.
I'll make you laugh, I'll make you smile,
while you bask in your bright, shining ride.
I am the supporting character,
the main character's best friend.
hovering just outside the glow,
hoping that someday I'll have my time,
to be the one that will beautifully shine.
If I don't join the crowd, will I be no one at all?Still, I'm waiting for my story, not just a line.
