AFTERPOEM

Always so different,
Always so new,
How to deny it,
If it's so pure?

Came in, you noticed,
Did not try to run.
Movements, temptation,
It had already won.

Time passed by,
Fire turned to smoke,
You did not let go,
Risked it all and started to choke.

But why did it not feel as if doing the crime?
Does the body feel numb
Or shall we continue the rhyme?

A/N: "Recovery is an acceptance that your life is in shambles and you have to change."
~ Jamie Lee Curtis.
