"Any luck with tracing?" I asked Bruce about the Tesseract, who just shook his head. I entered the lab with my laptop, and some coffee for Bruce and I, who is obviously stressed with, all of this. It's the next day since I became an agent, and it's been days that Loki has been harder to track. And Agent Barton, Dr. Selvig, and those other agents.
"It feels like every ounce of the gama radiation from the damn thing is getting farther away from us," Bruce replied as he kept looking through a microscope, which is weird because there aren't any microorganisms that's involved with gama, is there? Or the Tesseract? "So, not really."
I frowned, but I hoped to enlighten the mood with coffee, "here, coffee? I hope you like sugar and cream," he looked away from the microscope, and shrugged, accepting the coffee.
Laughing, "nah, I hate black coffee." He started taking sips as I opened my laptop to assist with searching for face traces of Loki. Taking some sips as well. This would be my first "voluntary" assignment, as what Nick described to me, the first assignment I will do since me becoming an agent incident.
"Face tracing again? I thought you would've given up on that one." I looked up, taking more sips of the coffee. The face tracing surprisingly took lots of hacking into numerous satellite surveillance, around the world, but I simply won't give up that easily.
"Well, we need to find him, or them." He looked away, into his microscope. As I continued more face tracing, "What does a microscope have to do with, all of this?"
He started chuckling, "do you know that the Tesseract could be involved with extraterrestrial creatures?"
My eyes widened, almost spitting out the coffee. Hold up, wait a minute, it makes sense. The Tesseract is a portal that could transport you to the other end of space, of course! "Lemme guess, Loki is using the Tesseract to start this E.T. war, so I guess, yeah."
Bruce looked up, laughing. "What?" I ask, and I obviously have no idea why he's laughing. I continued sipping the coffee. Until-
"Do you think that Agent Romanoff and I don't notice that you and the Captain are falling for each other towards the ends of the earth?" Stop, wait a minute! I mean, there's a hella no way that Steve would, ever do that. My eyes even widened as I almost spewed coffee, and Bruce kept laughing. "And yes, the guess about Loki's plans sound legitimately right."
I look up, smiling "really?"
The out of the blue, the lab doors flew open revealing Steve, and from his looks, both heavenly and, outrageous, he looks mad. "Amel- I mean Agent Vale and Dr. Banner, having any luck?" From the corner of my eye, I spot Bruce who just shook his head, and I did the same. Bruce then gave me a look that says "see? He almost called you 'Amelia'" look while I gave him a look that says "really? Not now". I know for three days, I can identify the looks he's giving me immediately. Guessing same for him as well. "And uh, glasses? May I ask, how do you have glasses?" Oh yeah, he has never seen me in my glasses before, and oh my gosh, these glasses are just ugly! Seriously?!
