"Vae, leave Nora alone," Jimin chided with amusement.
"Minnie," Vae whined as she stomped towards her Kookie. "Uncle Kookie, Minnie is being so mean to me."
Jungkook snorted as he picked up his five-year-old niece and held her. "Is he, or is he just stopping you from being mean to your little sister?"
Vae looked at the three-year-old, who was happily sitting on the ground, playing with her dolls quietly, making Vae pout. She didn't want to play with dolls; she wanted to play with the broom her Kookie bought. She wanted to be the bestest quidditch player like her uncle. "I want to fly, but Nora won't," she pouted.
Kook chuckled a bit, "Vae," he sighed, "she's still little. Why don't I take you out after I finish this order, and Nora can stay here with her Minnie?"
Vae pouted while she glared at her little sister, but that was enough for her to agree. She nodded her head once and gripped her uncle a little tighter while he got her into position so he could finish the ring he was working on. His jewelry business had taken off in the last few years.
He was not expanding, but working and caring for his needy yet adorable nieces was hard. Only one was needy; Nora was by far the most chill child in the world. If she needed anything, she immediately went to her Minnie or her parents. She only went to Kookie if he was the last adult, much to Jimin's pleasure.
The elder loved to rub that into his face any chance he could. Jimin was sitting on the floor in front of Nora as they had a tea party with her two baby dolls, and the pink-haired man looked like he was having the time of his life. "Don't you have a job to go to?"
Jimin shook his head no, "You know I don't, so stop asking."
"Must be nice to be the heir to a rich family," Kook grumbled.
"It is," Jimin grinned. He reached over and gently traced a knuckle down Nora's plump cheek. "It means I can spoil and spend all the time I want with my baby girl, doesn't it, sweetheart?" Nora looked up and smiled her toothy grin and then handed him her empty cup. "Want to see Uncle Oongi? He's probably with Uncle Jin and Uncle Tae at the sweet shop."
"I WANT TO GO," Vae screamed as she jumped up and down in Kook's lap, practically crawling over his shoulder in case Jimin left the poor girl behind.
"Calm down, Vae, don't make Kookie go deaf or blind. You know I'll take you," Jimin chuckled as he grabbed the overly excited child from breaking the younger male or jewelry he was working on.
Thank you, Jungkook mouthed. He knew he'd get no work done with Vae on his lap because he'd been trying for years, and it never worked. It was easy when she was little; he could wrap her up, and she'd sleep. But once she could move around, it was over.
Jimin had Nora on his hip, and Vae was holding his hand, talking a mile a minute about what she would eat because her Uncle Tae Tae and Uncle Jinnie never tell her no. As soon as the little bell rang over the cafe, Vae screamed in delight as she made a beeline straight for Yoongi, wanting to be picked up.
He groaned and complained, saying that she was too big. He wasn't a muscle pig like her Uncle Kook, but he still picked her up anyway. They walked over to the display case and got into a heated debate over the best desserts. She wanted something smothered in chocolate, and Yoongi still, to this day, is wary of chocolate ever since Amara had her little incident.
The girls weren't allergic, but that's not something he'll ever forget. "Why not try the orange cake? Uncle Jin made it, and it's perfect."
Vae tapped her chin with her finger for a bit like she was really thinking, and Tae snorted as he leaned into Jin a bit: "She's going to make him shift, isn't she?"
Jin nodded, "She's going to make you shift, too, if you aren't careful. You know she loves her tiger rides."
Not that Tae minded; he loved his Vae to pieces, but watching Yoongi get tortured by the kid was just so very satisfying. He shrugged, "It's fine as long as we are home. We can't do it here, food and all."
Jin snorted, "So glad we made that rule. It's saved us so many times," his whole body shook. He and Jimin were the smallest, and they both have been more than a little traumatized by Vae and her; let's squeeze you because I love you so much, approach to animals. Nora was a different story. Jimin shifts around her constantly; even when she was little, she was gentle with him. Jin was strong, but he'd taken many naps in the toddler's hair, curled against her neck.
"Nora, anything you want?"
The toddler looked over at everything, much like everything she does she took her time. She never makes hasty decisions; she will take everything in and make sure that it's what she wants. Finally, her eyes settled on a strawberry cheesecake on the middle shelf. She pointed at Jin and then looked at Jimin with her big, wide eyes and soft smile. "Peas Minnie."
"Of course, Nora," he looked up at Jin, who was already on his way to getting it out. Nora clapped her hands and thanked her Uncle Jin as he handed her the plate.
Vae was being carried through the cafe like she was on a plane by Tae as they both yelled loudly about how delicious the cake would be and how much fun they would have at the park. Jimin just grinned. Who knew that the awkward girl he loved to tease so much would give him this wonderful family with the best kids that weren't even his?
