"You still have the scroll, right Rose?" Azreal asked.
"Yes." She replied, pulling out a piece of rolled paper from her back pocket.
"And you still have the blood, correct?" I asked.
"Yep!" Azreal exclaimed, pulling out the vial from his front shirt pocket.
"We'll use your blood to create a circle for us to stand in." Azreal began to explain, "It'll keep the decay from spreading past the circle, letting her decay the door and keep us unharmed in the process."
Rose slowly walked up to the wall, where there was a large stone doorway that didn't appear to have a way to be opened from the outside.
"I'm ready when you are." She spoke.
"Understood." Azreal responded, "Dani, get behind me if you can."
"For Moira," I said.
He smiled before replying, "For Moira."
I went behind Azreal and he looked at Rose and then nodded, after making sure we were both inside the circle.
Rose placed her hand on the wall and began to read from the scroll.
"Exsiccatum et defice fatum hoc, frange nexum terrae et spiritum solve." She began chanting, "Tolle quod laesum est, miserere. Detrahe eos ad inferos, et libera animam."
As she repeated these phrases over and over, I witnessed the ground around her begin to turn a very pitch black, I saw black, boiling droplets of what I assume were tears. Her hair began to darken, turning a similar gray tone to that of her skin before I watched the earth around her crumble and crack.
The wall began to melt and steam, and the ground around her began to crack in a pattern that decayed the plants around until it spread to the circle. The decay didn't pass the circle of blood Azreal drew around where we were standing.
After a few moments, The scroll appeared to turn to ashes, and her hair turned back into the regular bright red. The area around us also restored the color it initially had, though the damage from the cracks was still there.
The wall was partially melted, and we now could step through.
Rose began to speak, finally snapping out of the trace that she was in during the spell.
"Are you two okay?" She asked, "The blood worked, right?"
"Yeah, we're fine." Azreal replied, "Dani, are you ready?"
"Ready as I'll ever be," I said.
We all walked through the hole and entered the temple.
Inside was a large open area, Where across from us, we saw something against the wall.
"There they are." Azreal spoke, "The Blood Elemental."
I took a proper look at the creature, it was suspended from the wall, shackled by multiple chains that were all glowing a bright blue.
The Elemental itself looked like its mask was made in the image of a beetle, while the cloak looked almost scaly. They kept twitching violently and I could have sworn I heard snarling coming from their waist.
Azreal slowly approached them, before pulling out a small vial of water from his pocket. He gently poured a drop onto the Elemental, and slowly, they stopped twitching and slowly came to their senses.
"Azreal?" They spoke, "Keheheh! Oh, how long has it been?"
"Around 4 years, sorry," He replied, "It was nothing personal, I had to follow orders, I planned to let you out when it was time to take him out."
