~Colby~

Friday night

Friday night when Emily didn't show up to the library, I just went home, and I worked on my school stuff with Sam. The other guys did end up going to college with us, so it made life way more fun and easier. it's nice to have all your friends in one place. Later, around 1 am, I went to bed because I was fucking exhausted. "Colby...Colby...Colbs...." I stirred around. "Please go away...." All the sudden I woke up from a scream. I panted heavily. I looked over at my clock seeing that I was only asleep for a couple of hours. I sighed and got out of bed. I decided to take a walk around the house. After that, I sat down on the couch and put my head in my hands. I sighed. "For Fucks sake...can I ever just sleep...."?! I shouted. I then took my phone out of my pocket and called my big sister. They should be awake; those guys are night owls. I chuckled. Rosaline looked a lot like my mom, she had my dad's dark hair and my mom's bright blue eyes, and she had the same heart structured face as my dad. She had my mom's heart. I was thankful for that. My dad wasn't always the nicest person sometimes. "Hello"? She asked happily to me. "Hey, Lina...." I said as I scrubbed my hand on my face. "Hey, you, what's going on"? I sighed. "Nothing just checking in on you guys." I said sadly. "Colbs, what's wrong"? "I don't sleep well anymore." "Why not? Are you having nightmares again"? "Yes, they keep getting worse and worse, I don't know what to do." Lina sighed. "I'm sorry love, Is there something else baby? You sound sad." I sighed. "I just miss home a lot; I miss you, Brynlee and mom." I said sadly "Awe, I'm sorry honey, we miss you too." I sighed. "I wanna go home, Lina, even if it's just for a little bit." "I know Colbs, we'll be able to see you again soon, I promise." "I just don't understand why I keep having the visions." Lina sighed. "They'll go away eventually hun, you know right before I met Zane, I started having visions too." I sighed. "You did"? I asked nervously. "Yeah." Lina winced in pain. "Lina? You sound tired are you alright"? "Yea, I'm doing fine, I'm just sore, I worked out a little too much yesterday." I laughed. "Don't push yourself too hard Lina." She chuckled. "I'm not, I'm just trying to stay in shape." "Lina, you already look amazing, you're already "in shape." "Well...thank you, Colby, I appreciate it. But the doctor did say that I'm supposed to get a certain amount of exercise." I looked confused. "Wait what? why are you going to the doctor Lina? Is something wrong"? "No nothing is wrong; I'm just carrying your niece." She said giggling. "Oh, ok well that makes sense." I paused and bugged my eyes out widely. "Wait...WHAT"?! The phone suddenly started ringing for face time. I picked up the phone in shock. "Rosaline Grace Brock"! She laughed. "Surprise." She said smiling. She propped the phone up and walked away to show him her bump. I put my hand over my mouth. "Are you kidding me"? I asked shocked. "No, I'm not." She said laughing hysterically. "Oh my god...." Lina looked at me worried. "Are you ok Colbs"? I smiled. "Yea I'm great Lina I'm just really shocked. Does Zane know"? Lina laughed. "Of course, Z knows." She spoke laughing. "Oh, my lord, whoo, I'm finally gonna be an uncle! how far along are you"!? she smiled "I'm about 5 months." "Wow, well you look great sis"! "Thanks, Colbs." She said smiling. My little sister decided to pitch In. Brynlee was a very petite being. She resembled my dad so much. She had his piercing toffee eyes and his light blonde hair and she had my mama's facial structure and her freckles. But she sometimes can get a little feisty. "Colby-Colby-Colby"!! I gasped. "Is that my Brynlee Jeanne"?! Lina picked her up and put her on her hip. "Whoa- whoa- whoa"! Zane jumped in and quickly took her from Lina. Lina looked at Zane and rolled her eyes. "What are you doing"? Zane rolled his eyes. "The doctor said that you ain't supposed to be liftin' heavy stuff, you know better D"! she rolled her eyes again, "Brynlee isn't that heavy, she only weighs like 30 pounds." "Don't care, doctor's orders baby." He said as he kissed her head, hugging her from the side, I laughed. "Hey, Colbs! How's it in Cali?! I smiled. "Well, it's nice to live under the same roof as the guys. how are you guys"? Zane smiled. "Well, we're doin' fine, just a little tied up with the new baby comin', when are you comin' to see us"?! Brynlee was climbing all over Zane's back. Zane laughed. "Ok darling,' you're gonna have to settle down"! Brynlee laughed. "Brynlee Jeanne Brock, stop climbing all over Zane"! Mom shouted at Brynlee. "I'm sorry Zane, she knows better than that." She said sternly. "It's no problem, Lesa, she's just excited to see Colby." Mom turned to see me on the phone. She gasped. "Cole baby! How are you"? She said excitedly to see me. "Hey mama, I'm doing great"! She pouted. "Awe, we miss you, baby"! "I miss you too mama, don't worry, I'm coming to visit you guys soon." "Oh, I'm glad honey, that's far overdue! How're things going at college honey." "It's going fine, it's nice to have help from the boys. But I know that dad is going to roast me alive if I fail another test." She rolled her eyes. "don't worry about that old brute, you just leave him to me." I laughed and yawned again. "Well, I better try to get some sleep, I 've got a huge project in English to finish before next week." "Alright, we'll talk to you soon Colby." "Ok mommo, love you." I said waving to the phone. She blew me a kiss. "Love you too, bye baby." "Bye mom." I said as I hung up the phone. Sam came down the stairs and came up behind me. He put his hands on my shoulders. "Brother." He said in a raspy voice. "Brother." I said in the same voice. I looked behind me. "Sorry if I work you up." I said as I chuckled and stretched. "You didn't I couldn't sleep." He yawned. "Who was that"? I sighed. "My sisters and my mom." my eyes followed him as he came around the other side of the couch, "I thought you were asleep though dude? I came in your room like an hour ago to see if you wanted to hang out and you were knocked out." "I was, fucking nightmare woke me up again." "Dude really, they're that bad"? he asked concerned sitting next to me. I nodded, scrubbing my hands on my face. "You wanna talk about it"? he asked me, rubbing his eyes tiredly, leaning back into the couch cushion, slugging his arm over the back of the couch. "They're getting worse dude; I don't know what to do." "What are they about"? he asked. "They start off with a girl then it just goes downhill from there, it's like she's getting attacked or something." "they'll pass in time eventually." He said in his optimistic voice. "I hope so dude." He smiled at me. "But hey I heard the news, congratulations brother"! he said excitedly nudging my arm. "Thanks bro, I'm super excited. Once I get some time off from school, I'm gonna go visit them." "Yeah, i need to get back to our old stomping grounds." He said with a chuckle. "You should come with, mi casa es tu casa." He nodded as he yawned. "You gonna go back to bed or you gonna stay up for a bit"? I asked as I stood up. "I'm gonna try to go back to bed." "I'm gonna do the same If I don't try go to bed now, I'm never gonna sleep." I walked to the foot of the stairs. "Alright goodnight brother." He said as he hugged me. "I'm serious though Colby, if you need anything I'm always here." I smiled as he squeezed me harder. "I know dude, I really appreciate it bro." he patted my upper back before releasing from the hug. "I mean it brother." I nodded and smiled before we both started heading upstairs to our rooms. I walked into my room and flopped onto my bed.
