Saturday

I skipped Friday because I had fed the night before. I had gone without feeding for over a month. I'm supposed to do more regularly about every 4 weeks, but I had gotten sidetrack from school. After vampires feed, they take a full day to recharge. By that, I mean, they sleep all day and sometimes all night. I had Owen spend the night at Riley's moms house so he could go to school and not have to worry about me. On Friday, Emily didn't show up to class. Which was odd for her. she said she would be here when we last spoke. She was usually very punctual and didn't miss class very much or at all really. I walked in to see that neither her nor Owen was home from a glance. She wasn't on her couch. Maybe she's in the bedroom? I opened her bedroom door to see her lying in bed. "I'll be there in ten minutes, I'm on break anyways." She said in a rushed and concerned voice. I quickly hung up and knelt to Emily. I brushed a few hairs from her face. She sighed, "most of the time it takes a full day to rejuvenate after feeding." Devyn explained as she looked down, "this is the most venerable state of vampires, it's our biggest secret." "Oh, I had no idea." "You cannot tell anyone about this." She looked at me with a serious look on her face. "I won't tell anybody, Scouts honor." I said raising my right hand. Devyn rolled her eyes. "I need to get back to the salon, I'll call and check on her later." "Not necessary, I'll stay with her." I said as I looked at her. "You sure you wanna do that"? she asked in a skeptical voice.
