8 years...
These past four months with Riley have been amazing. All the time we lost all of those years were slowly coming back together. I've been by his side ever since he came back, I don't see myself ever leaving his side. Kind of like how I was when we first started becoming friends.
I'm not home as much because I'm with him almost all the time of every day. After work, he picks me up and we go to our favorite places. He even took me to his huge house. He has a whole room with some games and we spent time in there and obviously watched movies and ate some ice cream. I love him so much.
My mama has also been inviting him over for dinner most nights so he gets caught up with my family. Kora doesn't like him much, I don't know why. She says she 'feels off about him' even still after all these years. It's honestly really annoying because I'm not leaving him. I'm never leaving him.
Alexandria was in awe when they had met. They crossed paths while she was leaving my house and he was visiting. Alexandria said he's so hot and how lucky I am. And she's right. I am pretty lucky.
I was at the mall with Alexandria, Lucy and Mya. I was looking for a cute outfit and they wanted to tag along. Riley is taking me on a date tonight. He didn't say where, but she said to dress pretty, so I'm searching for some pretty outfits.
"So, are you excited?" Lucy asked while we were still searching for some clothes. I already bought my outfit, I just needed some new clothes.
"I'm really excited," I said, "I've missed him so much and it's just - I can't explain it!" Talking about Riley makes me so happy. "He's so charming and so sweet. He always has been."
"Can't believe he hasn't talked to in 8 years, now he's just back," Alexandria said. "Just watch out, girly."
"Watch out for what?" I asked.
"He seems pretty serious, I don't want him hurting you," she said.
"Riley could never hurt me," I told her. "I'm his Rose. He loves me, and I sure do love him back with all my heart."
"So is he your boyfriend?" Mya asked.
"I introduce him as such," I told her. "When he picked me up at work, I introduced him as my boyfriend. I don't know, he never asked. I just kinda assumed."
They all looked at each other, then back at me and didn't say anything. I rolled my eyes. They're judging me, I can feel it. Riley told me I'm his, so they need to mind their business. I hate being judged, it's one of the things I can't stand. I don't judge others, so no one should judge me.
"If he makes you happy, that's all that matters," Mya then said. "Just make sure we're your bridesmaids at your wedding." I chuckle.
"Bitch, I'm gonna be the maid of honor," said Alexandria. We all burst into laughter and continued our shopping trip. After shopping, we got some ice cream and ate in the food court. When we left the mall, they dropped me off back home. It was only 5:30 and he picks me up at 7:00 so I might as well start to get ready now.
I placed all of my clothes and other things I got in their place and went straight for the shower. I sang my favorite tune, thinking about how tonight was going to go. I have no doubt that it'll be the most magical night of all time. Riley makes me feel like the most special girl, and I only hope I do the same for him.
After my shower, I placed on my undergarments. I did my makeup and left my braids where they were, just touched up on my edges. I got dressed in the outfit I chose and couldn't stop glancing at myself in the mirror. Riley will love it for sure.
