Today, we were visiting my family. Riley has finally cleared up his schedule. I was happy to see my mom and sister. I haven't seen them honestly since our honeymoon. Cora, Mama, and I talk on the phone a lot but I've missed my old home, my dog, and especially my Mama's cooking.
Mama called me on Wednesday and said she missed Riley and I and wanted to see us and of course, I couldn't pass up. I was standing in our room, placing my jewelry on.

"You sure you want to go?" Riley asked me.
"Riley, this is my mom and sister. I haven't seen them in months, come on." For some reason, Riley wasn't as excited to see my family which is odd because he loves my mom. "We always see your family whenever you want."
Riley shrugged. "Just asking."
I sigh and got back to fixing myself up. I placed my braids in a huge bun and grabbed my phone and purse before walking downstairs, meeting Riley.
"I'm ready," I tell him and he nodded.
Riley and I have been struggling. He's been so tense for some reason and instead of controlling it, he has an attitude. He's been so moody and not as affectionate. When we have sex, it doesn't feel right. Pleasurable, but not right. And when we're finished, he just turns over. Doesn't hold me, doesn't tell me he loves me. Nothing.
The drive to my Mom's was quiet. I turned on some music to kind of get rid of how silent it was but he turned it off. I just stared out the window for the remainder of the drive. We arrived to see my Mama waiting for us on her driveway.
I smile as I get out and run to my Mama who's smiling wide with open arms. I run in her arms and hugged her tightly. I feel tears falling out of my eyes and pulled away.
"Mama," I cried.
She kissed my cheek and hugged me tightly once more. "Oh, Khiri, my child. I've missed you so much."
"I've missed you too," I say. I look around for my older sister. "Where's Cora?" I asked.
"She's inside setting the table. She was so excited." I smiled. She looked behind me at my husband. "Hope you've been treating her right," she said playfully.
"Always," Riley smiled and walked up to my Mama and hugged her.
"It's so nice to see the two of you. Come, dinner's already done," Mama smiled while gesturing us inside.
When we walked inside, Cora was finishing her touch ups to the table. "Looking good, sis," I say, making her look up at me. She squeals and runs to me, crushing me in a hug.
"Khiri!!" She kisses my cheek. "I'm so glad to see you." She pulled away and cupped my face in her hands, examining me. "Girl you look like you're getting good sleep and sun..." she leaned in to whisper in my ear while Riley and Mama were talking, "and good dick too."
