The moon's soft glowing ambient light beams down onto the immortal as she performs in sync with the band's soft tune on the stage. The courtyard decor is classy and very rich in silk and velvet. Overhead, nasturtiums Japanese-style chrysanthemums, and orchids hang freely from thick vines.

Immortals from respected and wealthy houses in extravagant formal attire, designer heels, and the latest oxfords mingling behind their masquerades. Throughout the crowd, servants make their way offering guests the finest champagne and the ripest and freshes wine that the world has to offer.

Of course, each beverage is tainted with a hint of blood straight from the server's veins. And each delicacy that's being offered has been crafted by the finest chefs from all over the world.

Standing on top of the mezzanine with my brothers by my side, my eyes roam freely over the crowd searching for any sign of a threat.

So far, there are none as if they ever are. The weasels who tend to go against us never really stand a chance. They are nothing but prey.

The Blood Ball is the event of the season, anyone that somebody in the world of awakening is in attendance. Besides, the council members and a few traitors, who made the foolish mistake of siding against us...

Starting with, the betrayal of Nicklaus's whore of a sister and devil of a mother. Ever since I started dealing with my child's mother Lenora. I've always known that the whore of a princess Daniella was trouble and only tolerated her because of my undying loyalty to her brothers but that's beside the point. The two of them have started this free-the-council rebellion officially creating division within the immortal world.

Reasons why, Nicklaus decided to have the first blood ball in over a century in the first place.

This ball's purpose has always been to know who is with us, or against us, and tonight we shall find out exactly that. Plus, we know that the dogs will come howling just to get put down so we officially kill two birds with one stone. It's a win, win for all of us, and our plan is flawless.

"Is everything in place?" Nicklaus's voice appears inside my head as he questions me.

As the supreme commander, it is my sworn duty to my brotherhood to make sure every immortal is protected.

Nicklaus has selected each one of us to rule alongside him for many reasons. The most important reason consists of what each King has to offer. Each King's lineage plays a major part as well, but our unique abilities have officially sealed the deal.

My ability in particular is to amplify other supernatural capacities and power absorption. This means that I can boost the volume of one power, and if someone utilizes their power against me I can counter their attack by absorbing their own supernatural abilities as if it's my own.
