Two Moons later.

"What are you not telling me?" asks Nicklaus for the millionth time.

His curiosity is starting to kill me.

Ever since it's been decided that Nicklaus, Cyrus, and Elijah will be tagging along with me to my kingdom to end the hunter's plague that has infested my land Nicklaus has been asking question after question and it's driving me insane.

"I told you everything," I tell him the truth because I did. Starting with the fact, that Beretta fucking Banks has decided to make my life a living hell. Instead, of her disappearing off the face of the earth like she was supposed to. She decided to return to my Kingdom and burn it to the ground.

Literally.

Fucking Beretta and her little gang of insects have decided to set bombs at important places all around the city and blow things up and then leave the signature L H B at each sighting.

"So what does L H B stand for," questions Xander. He's here too, standing on the other end of Nicklaus but luckily for me, he won't be tagging along with us. Instead, he will escort Claire on her journey to Europe. They will be staying, in Marcellus Kingdom as the guest of honor for some weird love show game that he decided to launch.

"I have no clue," I lie through clenched teeth as Claire, Jadis, and Corneilus make their way from out of the house in our direction over here on the beach. Cyrus and Embry are hand in hand following closely behind the three of them.

Speaking of Embry, she is formally the first Alpha of all packs of North America. That's right. Embry made history. She defeated each Alpha that so foolishly accepted her challenge one by one with such grace no one could question her reign. She matched Cyrus' ruthness in every way. She was lethal, proving that she was meant to rule by his side.

In my eyes, respect has always been earned, not just given freely and Embry has officially gained my respect and undying loyalty. She is now a sister to me. There is nothing that I wouldn't do for her.

That is the only reason why I agreed to come to her family home in the western pack territory to partake in the barbeque on the beach that her father wanted to throw for her and that's exactly where we are now.

As soon as Xander and Nicklaus spot everyone their attention is immediately averted in their direction.

I take this moment to briefly enjoy my surroundings. It's early spring in the Northern Kingdom when the days are unpredictable but today is enjoyable. The Pacific Ocean glitters underneath the blazing sun. The air is fresh. The sand is too cool and too smooth. I take a deep breath as the wind picks up, blowing in the salty smell of the ocean that I love so much. This place just makes me miss my kingdom even more.

Out of the corner of my eye, I see Embry and Claire's guards sitting on the shoreline checking out some she wolfs.

Xander makes his way over to the grill where Embry's father and brother appear to be seasoning some wings.

As I watch Xander approach them, Embry's brother Ruq's eyes lock with my own. I don't like him and I'm most certain that the feeling is mutual but the two of us do have an understanding. Which, consists of him staying out of my way once we all touch down in my Kingdom.

Apparently, his mate is some hunter that runs with the Hoax gang and the only reason why I agreed to allow him to retrieve her is because he agreed to keep my secret about my beloved.

I don't know how he knows, but he does and I'm pretty sure that he received this information from no one other than her. Beretta, who seems to be the cause of all my problems lately.
