"God, it's too early for this."

"I thought vampires didn't need sleep?"

"We don't, but I don't like engaging in activities until 12 pm at the earliest."

"Lazy ass."

"You know you love me."

"Love? Hah, I do not love, and neither do you. You know that all too well."

"I do, but I am fond of you."

"And I am fond of getting this plan in motion, are you coming with me?"

"Always so cold hearted...No, I'll look after things here. Best of luck."

"You need the luck more than I do, looking after all these good for nothing imbeciles."

Wednesday, October 6th, 2021.

The day of the invasion, as well as the day of the run away plan, had arrived.

And oh, did it ever make the entrance.

It was early. Krul, who was sleeping to ease her stress, was awoken by running and shouting through the halls around 6 in the morning.

Sound in Town Hall around that time was common, but something about the noise put her on edge.

She couldn't shake the dread, the knowledge that whatever was going on, she'd been left out of it.

Jumping up from her bed, with her night gown still on and her hair a mess, she slammed opened the door to her room.

"What's going on?" She demanded to her security guards.

But to her horror, and confused delight, they weren't there.

Everyone was running through the hallway, some barking orders, some scrambling to execute them.

Then a noise started blaring throughout the Town Hall over the speakers.

"Calling all residents, commencing Operation Invasion, please calmly and hastily take your positions. The zombies will be released in 10 minutes. I repeat, please calmly and hastily..."

Krul gasped, terror wrenching her gut, threatening to form a black hole and eating her up from the inside.

She'd been tricked.

Mahiru had told her October 10th, as a means to throw her off...and she'd fallen for it.

Of course the invasion was on the same day as the plan for Shinoa Squad's escape, of course. How fucking convenient.

There was no time, she needed to act immediately, this changed everything.

Panicked, she quickly ran back into her room and slammed the door shut. She tried to think everything over, and make sure no one paid her any mind.
