Warning: This stuff may be slightly intense.

"Duck!"

Willow pushed Gus' head down, causing the incoming punch from a demon shadow to barely miss. She proceeded to strike it right in the face.

"Thanks!"

Willow shook her hand, before returning to the fight.

Gus also started throwing punches. Granted, he didn't take them out in one hit, but it kept them away from his classmates.

This had been going on for a few minutes now. Gus was tired from running, Willow's fist were starting to hurt. But they kept going.

There was no one else to help them, and Luz hadn't returned with the demon yet, so they were the only ones keeping the doppelgangers from causing real damage.

That changed when they started hearing loud noises from the hallway. It sounded like a fight was going on, meaning it was probably Luz facing off against the demon. But things didn't sound like they were going well.

Some of the shadows began deforming at the same time.

Gus sighed. "How do you think Luz is doing against that demon guy right now?"

"Not sure. But I don't feel optimistic about it. Why isn't she back?"

Gus took in a deep breath, making up his mind. "Stay here. I'll go check on Luz."

Willow looked at him. "I should go."

"I can't fight these guys very well. And I can run faster if things go south."

"Let's talk about-"

Willow had barely gotten any words out before Gus was sprinting through the gym, evading teens and foes left and right. She was about to run after him, before another shadowy guy stuck her in the back.

She swung around, knocking him down in one hit (her bruised knuckles screamed in pain after this). Before she could continue, she realized that the person now next to her was Amity.

Willow clenched her hurting fist. She was alone now, with no one but her old "friend" to keep her company. Having her, even if not great, would be helpful with there still being way too many guys to fight off.

She grabbed the noodle-like tentacle from Amity's back, and began pulling.

---

Amity was knocked back after the slap from her mother. She felt her cheek, not feeling any physical pain. But it still hurt.

"You will not get into any more disagreements with Boscha, do you understand?" Odalia placed her hand on her daughter's shoulder. "This is unbecoming of a Blight. Don't make me do that again."

She walked off, but Amity could still feel the sting. Her own mom slapped her: and Boscha was the one who had been filling lockers with Cool Whip.

But it didn't matter, because she threw a fist. Of course.

The scene changed to the next morning, when she was walking to school. Cat and Skara were refusing to talk to her. When she finally asked why, all they had to say was: "You fought Boscha, Ams. We were your friends. You kind of ruined that."

That had destroyed her, more than her mother's response to the fight had.

The scene changed again and again, throughout the next year. Every time she had tried to make a connection with someone else her age... or anyone.

Every time ,they would walk away, not wanting to be friends with a Blight/Popular Kid/Friend of Boscha.

Eventually, Amity just stopped trying. She was done feeling rejection for things that happened a long time ago.
