Kagura slowly approached the mansion's door, though she had realized how stupid she felt as she remembered Hanabi was sick.
Kagura sighed, mumbling a curse to herself as she stepped in the mansion.
"Hanabi!"
Kagura called out, smiling slightly as she heard a small groan coming from upstairs. Perhaps this was the first time she had been grateful for her good hearing.
Kazuha closed her umbrella and set it beside the door, before rushing up the long staircase.
She skipped through the hallways over to Hanabi's room.
"Knock knock!" Kagura jokes with a smile creeping up her face. She had heard a small sigh then a light-hearted chuckle from the other side.
"Who's there?"
Hanabi's voice asked.
"Your beloved~ open the door!"
Kagura giggles as she hears the faint footsteps on the other side, before the knob twisted and opened.
Being met with an unmasked Hanabi, who had a small smile on her face.
"Kagura, I had been waiting for you."
Hanabi says with a smile, Kagura felt her heart beating in her chest.
Kagura couldn't help but smile alongside her, "I'm here now."
Hanabi ushered Kagura in her room, closing the door after as Kagura smiles at her.
"How have you been doing?" Kagura asks, though there was worry and concern evident in her tone.
"I've been well, Kagura. No need to worry." Hanabi assures, putting her hand on her chest as a way to indicate her sincerity.
Kagura smiles at Hanabi's reassurance. She gently pushed Hanabi down to her bed, making the latter sit down and look up at Kagura.
"I'm glad" Kagura says as she puts her hand on Hanabi's forehead to check her temperature, as she felt the temperature, she heaved a sigh of relief.
Hanabi felt her cheeks going pink from Kagura's touch, yet she did not back away. Instead, she wanted to embrace it.
"It gets quite boring here, I am glad you visited me." Hanabi says with a sweet smile, it was true, her time alone was making her reminisce on the festival.
Kagura smiles and sits down beside Hanabi. "You can always call me, and I'll be there." Kagura says to which Hanabi turns her head to look at Kagura, "You will?"
Kagura smiled sincerely, "If it's you, I will be there at anytime, anywhere."
Hanabi's cheeks went red from Kagura's statement. Just by the mere thought of Kagura being there for her was enough to assure herself she's in good hands.
After all, there was nobody else that accompanied her.
No one.
