Chapter 4

"Wow Maddie, you have a pretty cool house" I was pretty shocked... for some girl who wears rock band shirts and jeans for a living, she seems pretty.. rich.

"Thanks, my parents are engineers.. but they aren't home that often" she says shyly.

Sam shoves Maddie, "hey you got us to hang with" he smiles.

So basically we hung out for awhile just layin back, doing homework and suck teenager things, but Sam checked his phone and looked somehow disappointed.

"What's wrong" I ask him.

"It's nothing, um sorry but I got to go.. see ya later guys" he gets up and walks out the door fastly.

"Well that was weird" Maddie said concerned.

"Um well my parents are gonna get mad if I don't get home soon, but.. thanks"

"For what?"

"For being awesome to me" I smiled" walking out the door.

~next day~

*wakes up and looks at alarm clock*

"SHIT IM LATE!"

I get changed into random clothes and run out the door rushing to school hoping not to be late.

YES I'm not late! I got five more minutes until the bell rings.

"Hey Sam" I say happily

"Um Carmen, can I talk to you"

"Uh sure.. Of course"

"Listen about Nicholas.. he's bad news I think you should just keep your distance from him"

What?

"Why do you say that?"

"Just because... I remember at the beginning of the year he got a dare from one of his dumbass friends that when a new girl comes, he has to like her and ask her out... then dump her"

"But..."

"And we have gotten only new guys. You're the first new girl."

I can't believe this.

"Sorry Sam I have to get to class"

I left. I couldn't handle it. Here I am, being a dummy like always. I just need to forget about it.. I need to get to class.

~lunch~

I sit by myself because I didn't feel like talking to Sam or Maddie.. and I kind of feel bad about it, but it doesn't matter, they should have told me that Nicholas was a total S.D.

*gets shoved*

"NO!" I yelled

My apple juice got all over the front of my body. Someone was about to die.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" Nicholas smirks trying to clean me up.

"You know what, I think maybe you are 'bumping' into me too much?"

"Uhh what are you talking about? That was an accident. I thought that was our thing?"

"I don't like you! Leave me alone!"

I stomped away leaving to the bathroom to clean myself up. My phone buzzes so I check it.

>I'm coming<

Maddie appears.

"Girl. A lot of people saw what happened out there"

"Wait really?"

"Yea... And I know you were upset so I thought me and Sam would give you space"

"Thanks but now that I think of it.. I like how I can have friends to talk to so next time just bug me" I smiled. We hug it out but the bell rings.
