Today marks one month of living alone. The house is cold and nothing i do can warm it up. The quiet nature of the house haunts me, i had gotten so used to falling asleep to a loud tv or the sound of other voices that sleeping now has been proven quite difficult.

I've been living off of Doritos and redbull. I hate redbull, but i cant drink a monster without being reminded of Jake and i'm trying to feel less lonely. And for everyone saying "just text them." "Give them a call." "Blah blah blah." Don't you think I've tried that? Don't you think thats the first thing i did when i got lonely? None of them answered. When i texted Jake my message turned to a green bubble, he blocked me. All my texts to Kat are left on delivered. And Amy's family is crazy and took her phone.

I've tried to reach out to other mutuals but those conversations never went anywhere. Its so frustrating to make more friends, I've known Jake and Kat since tenth grade, and Sam was so easy to talk to. People my age already have their groups, and they aren't keen to letting others join.

Every morning i walk past the living room, the one thats still haunted by the old mess that Jake and Kat left the last time they played Mario Cart. I can't clean it. Then every trace of them will be gone.

The mess of my room has made its way to the rest of the house. But why should i clean it? No one else is here. Just me. Only me. And no one else. Ever. Alone for good. For the rest of my life.

I haven't brushed my teeth, or hair, changed, or showered in only god knows how long. But again its not like anyone will know, no one is here.

I thought about getting a pet, a dog or something, but I'm not sure thats a good idea. I mean I can't even take care of myself, but maybe that would be my motivation to get up every morning, to clean, and go outside.

"This ones name is Salmon, but we all call her Sammy. She's a four month old golden doodle who loves to just lay around all day." The worker showed me to her kennel and a small curly haired dog made her way to the front. "She's adorable, how much is she?" The lady picked up the clipboard that was attached to the kennel and read through it. "$2,500." I thought for a minute, what else am i going to spend my money on? "I'll take her."

                              ...

When we got home Sammy ran to the living and jumped on the couch. I got her water and food bowl set up, then put her bed in my room. "Sammy!" I called for her from my room a few seconds later i heard her running towards me. She ran into my room and jumped onto my bed. We laid there for a while until we both fell asleep.

I wasn't alone anymore, i still had no people friends but at least i had Sammy. Right?
