"Mathias, is this your girlfriend or something that you are so fond of her?" the boy next to my cousin asked laughing, I recognized him as Theodore Nott. "I am actually," I said with a wink, "Y/n, stop that. Theo, Enzo, Celeste meet my cousin Y/n Hope Mikaelson," Mathias said smiling. "Hey!" they greeted me in unison, Celeste even hugged me, "I just know that this girl will be my best friend!" Celeste Salvatore spoke with a smile plastered across her face.

After I ate dinner which was delicious, I went to the dungeons. When I got into the Slytherin common room I heard a voice from the corner of the room "So, our new girl got sorted into Slytherin". I thought to myself "God, please not again". He came closer to me and grabbed my wrist, I told through gritted teeth "Let go of my arm," almost punching that guy, "Woke up today and chose violence, sweetheart? We better talk about what happened on the train." a smirk was plastered across his face. "If you continue to defy me, your life will be reduced to an unending sequence of agonizing torture," I told him with a blank face. "Now I understand why Slytherin," he then let go of my wrist.

Laughter filled the room and I saw that Mathias, Celeste, Theo, and Enzo got back from the Great Hall. "Eyy, nice to see you again, pal," Mathias welcomed my "new favorite person", "How are you doing, mate?" he asked laughing. "Wait wait wait, Mathias, pal? How can you be friends with someone like him?"

"I see you two get along nicely," Celeste chimed in. "Y/n, meet our boy Mattheo Riddle and Mattheo be nice to my cousin Y/n Hope Mikaelson," Matt told us. "Pleasure," I bowed and went to unpack my things. "I believe she is the one, who needs to be a little bit nicer. You Mikaelsons are a big deal, no offense," Mattheo laughed.

I live in the room all by myself, my mom and dad took care of that. With permission, Professor Dumbledore even let me decorate it how I wanted. I unlocked the door and went inside. The first thing I needed to do was to unpack all of my luggage, so I did that. When finished, I saw a gift box and a letter from my family on the table. This must be the gift from the muggle world they promised me.

Excitedly I opened it and saw a record player with my favorite artists' vinyl. The Weeknd, Lana Del Rey, and Taylor Swift's album "Midnights". I was so grateful for them because I can not live without music. Then read the letter:

we wanted to remind you how we are thankful to have you. Hopefully, you are enjoying your gift, we picked it out with so much love. How are you settling in? Is everything alright? Tell us about all of your experiences at Hogwarts.

We miss you and Mathias. This huge house feels so empty without you guys. Do not forget to write us once in a while!

God, I miss them so fucking much, I feel irritated and homesick. Wish I could hug all of them. Tears began to fill my eyes. While listening to the music, I decided to write them back.

you can not imagine how I miss you too, I feel homesick, but I bet soon it is going to be alright. Thank you for the gift, I love it! Today I met Mathias' friends Theodore, Lorenzo, and Celeste, I have a feeling they will be my best friends too. They are amazing! Have you ever heard something about Celeste Salvatore, guys? I do not know much about her yet, but we all know the Salvatores from Mystic Falls.

I bet Mathias misses everyone too! Do not forget to write all the gossip about New Orleans, you know how much I love drama.

I sealed the letter and gave it to my owl Odette. Tomorrow is Saturday, so I do not have to worry about getting up early. I read a book for some time and then fell asleep.
