midnights. [Mattheo Riddle x reader]

I woke up by someone pulling my blanket away. "C'mon, Y/n Hope Mikaelson!" Celeste Salvatore yelled out. I looked at the time and wailed "Guys, it is 7 am, go back to bed", then got back under my soft blankets. Lorenzo pulled them off of me again "It is your first breakfast at Hogwarts and we will not let you miss that, get up". "Alright, alright, let me get ready". "You have a maximum of 15 minutes".

I ran to the bathroom, brushed my teeth, washed my face, did a messy bun, put on some mascara, blush, and lip balm, then headed to my wardrobe and quickly threw on an oversized hoodie, biker shorts, and my Converse.

The walk until we reached the Great Hall was so long, I never was a morning person, so do not have that much energy.

"Where is Mathias? I thought he would be here," I asked Celeste and Lorenzo when we sat down for breakfast. "Probably still sleeping. He rarely appears at breakfast," Lorenzo stated.

We ate our meals and talked about everything and anything. "Celeste, who are your parents? Your last name seems so familiar to me," I questioned her at one point in our conversation. "Damon Salvatore and Elena Gilbert," she answered proudly with a small smile. "How?", "They took a cure, but somehow I was born as a witch," Celeste told me. "What about your family, Lorenzo?" I asked with curiosity, "Well, I was born into a pure-blood family, my parents, Tobias Berkshire, and Tahiya Berkshire, are known as wealthy and the kindest Slytherins all over the wizarding world." he beamed while talking.

Once we reached the common room, they stopped walking and Celeste informed me "Get ready, we have planned the day at Hogsmeade for us", "Just for us three?" they glanced at each other suspiciously and Lorenzo instantly answered "Aha". I nodded and went to my room.

The afternoon we spent together at Hogsmeade was wonderful. Celeste and Lorenzo make me happy, the last time I laughed that much was when I hung out with my friend back at Mystic Falls. We shopped, I even bought a little something for said friend. For our last stop, we decided to go to the Three Broomsticks.

When I put my toe in there, I saw Mattheo Riddle and Theodore Nott with another person sitting across from them, I assumed that he is their friend. I turned around and was ready to walk out, but Mathias blocked my way "My lovely cousin, why are you in such a rush? You have not tried a Butterbeer yet," this was his way of saying "Go back in".

I sat down, put on a smile, and tried my best to ignore Mattheo. "By the way, this is Tom Riddle, Mattheo's cousin," Mathias introduced him to me, "Hello, I am Y/n Hope Mikaelson," I said and extended my hand. "Nice to finally meet you, Y/n." instead of shaking my hand he kissed my knuckles. In the corner of my eye, I saw Tom's cousin rolling his eyes.

I got used to Mattheo's presence and it was quite a good evening. The Three Broomsticks soon closed, so all of us walked back to Hogwarts. In the common room, Tom brought up some fire whiskey then somehow they lured me into playing spin the bottle, so I, Mathias, Lorenzo, Mattheo, Celeste, and Pansy, a girl from 5th year, formed a circle. I do not even know how Pansy Parkinson got here.

Lorenzo spun first, the bottle landed on Celeste and he kissed her. "They would be a cute couple," I thought to myself. Pansy spun the bottle and then it was Mattheo's turn and it landed on me "We are not doing this." I simply said and got up from my seat. "Y/n, come on, where are you going?" I heard them say.

I ended up at the Astronomy Tower, sat down on the edge, and suddenly heard someone walking up the staircase. It was past curfew, so I murmured a silent "Oh shit" to myself.
