It was cold and drizzling Monday morning, but that can not stop me from having a good day. I stayed in bed for a few more minutes and soon went to get ready for breakfast and my first lessons at Hogwarts.

Our first subject of the day was Flying. "Welcome welcome, 6th years, to your first lesson of this school year." Madam Rolanda Hooch greeted us. "Good morning, Madam Hooch," all of the students spoke in unison, "For today, we will not learn something new, let's just remember the skills that we learned previously by racing, except for Y/n Hope Mikaelson. Others can begin with the task," the professor told.

"Y/n Hope," Rolanda Hooch called out my name and proceeded with "I assume you have not attempted to fly with the broomstick just yet, am I right?", "Yes, Madam," I answered her question. "So now, I will tell you about all of the basics on how to do that and then you will show me what have you learned in practice". I did an amazing job in Broom Flight Class, our professor even let me join others in the race halfway through the lesson.

Next, it was time for Astronomy. Walking down the corridors Mathias said with a huge smile "We saw you, Y/n. You flew very well", "Yeah, dear best friend, you should join the Slytherin Quidditch team. Think about this and meet us at lunch today, we will speak about it," Celeste chimed in.

I, Mathias, Celeste, Theodore, Lorenzo, and Mattheo sat at the lunch table, Tom was nowhere to be seen. "So, have you thought about my offer? We have tryouts right after lunch, Slytherin team needs a new chaser this year," Celeste asked me with a mouth full of food, "Yes. I would love to be a part of our Quidditch team," I said. "That is wonderful, Y/n. It would be fun if you would join the team," Lorenzo talked with a genuine smile.

"Now tell me who are members already?" I questioned with curiosity lacing through my voice, "Theodore is our captain and keeper, Terence Higgs is a seeker, I and Mattheo are chasers, Pansy Parkinson and also Lorenzo are beaters," Celeste Salvatore introduced me to the two others seated near us. We shook hands. "Mathias, why you left the group this year?" I asked him, "So that you could alter me, I know that you can not live without sport, duh," my cousin simply conveyed.

"Wow, Y/n, in what muggle sport are you interested?" Theodore raised a question, "I used to play handball back in New Orleans." they whistled when heard about that.

After lunch, all of us headed to the Quidditch pitch. It seemed that all of the Slytherin students were there to see tryouts, even Professor Severus Snape came, but most important that Mathias was in the stands to support me. I competed with three others named Adrian Pucey, Blaise Zabini, and Draco Malfoy. Mathias told me that I did incredibly well, but I will know if I made it to the team at 8 pm.

Finally, it was time to see results and I made my way to the place, where the captain published the final Slytherin Quidditch team. I read members and their positions and there I was a new chaser, I was so happy.

When I got back to the dungeons everyone cheered, whistled, and hugged me "There she is our new chaser of the squad, congratulations, Y/n Hope Mikaelson!" Celeste laughed with pure joy in her eyes "Blaise, get all of the alcohol from your hiding spots, we need to celebrate that" she went on. It almost turned into a party on Monday night, we had such a great time, so far I love Hogwarts and started to feel at home there.
