Janet's POV

"Now that's how I like to start the day! You never feel more alive than when you're almost dead." Finn exclaims happily.

"I hope that devise didn't fall off."

Holley says as she turns Mater around, getting a view of the device and removing it with much protest from Mater.
I glanced from my position towards the front of the jet on a computer reviewing over the information of my deceased comrade.

Holley, with a robotic arm, inserts the device into a mainframe computer. It begins to analyze and download.

"Downloading the photo now."

Holley informs. "Hey, lemme introduce you guys. This here is Finn McSomething-or-other. He's a First Class VIP airport whatchamacallit." I gave a small snort and Finn glanced in my direction, but I pretend I didn't do anything.

"And Finn, this here's my date." He turns to Holley "Never did get your name." Holley blinks. "Oh yes, sorry. It's Shiftwell. Holley Shiftwell."

She replies. Mater turns to Finn. "It's Shiftwell. Holley Shiftwell."

He turns to me. "And she is....Uh...I'm sorry ma'am but I don't know your name."

There was a silence in the plane as they waited for me to answer his request. I saw the look that Finn was giving me. He thinks I will snap at the tanned man because he is not my associate.

I give a small sigh and mumble to myself. "Maybe some things are meant to stay secret." I look at Mater as he gives a smile and looks expectantly at me.

I smile and blink to clear my mind and my throat . "Janet Carter. American Agency."

Finn sends a nod and a wide smile.

Man, he's cute when he wants to be...Wait, What?

Mater turns to the others. "And her name is Janet Cart-" his sentence was cut off by the beeping of the monitor and the cabins light dimming.

"Finally. Time to see who's behind all this."

Finn says. And image appears of a complicated melange of metallic parts stuck together.

"What is this?" Holley asks. Mater, with his head tilted, replied. "Well, that's one of the worst robotic leg ever made. It's an old aluminum V8 with a Lucas electrical system and Whitworth bolts. Shoot, them Whitworth bolts is a pain, tell you what. Them ain't metric, they ain't inches..."

"Yes, OK, right. But who's engine is this, Mater?"

"Well, it's kinda hard to tell from this picture, ain't it?"

"But your the one who took it."

"Holley." I say in a warning tone.
"Oh, right. Yes, of course. 'A good agent gets what he can, then gets out before he's killed.' Sorry"

freeze when she states one of the quotes that all agents go by.

Then why didn't you?

I thought, thinking about my comrade. Finn's voice brings me out of my thoughts. "Holley, in how many makes and models did this type of prosthetic leg appear?" He asks as Holley pulls up the information. As they talk, my mind takes over again.

Finn trusts Holley. I wonder if he has a thing for her?

As this passes my mind, I feel sadness, disappointment, and slight jealousy ripple through me. I shake it off through anger.

I shouldn't be surprised. I mean, what would Finn see in someone like me, compared to Holley, I'm nothing.

Their voices cut into my thoughts again. "Rare parts!"
