"Back in New Orleans?" I asked as I surfed through the channels on my television. "Honestly, I thought they would have been back sooner."
I felt the couch sink as Marcel sat down beside me. "Klaus hasn't changed at all. He was speaking about how witches are plotting against him."
I wouldn't expect him to. He wouldn't know what to do with his life if there wasn't some kind of enemy for him to go up against.
"As long as he doesn't give you trouble, we don't have anything to worry about."
Marcel smirked at me.
As much as we both know that it could be disastrous for the life that we have built, he wants Klaus to give him trouble. He wants to go toe to toe with him.
All because he knows that I will have his back.
With me on his side, he is damn near invincible.
