The Son Of Bruno Madrigal

Vision Cave

Me and Mirabel exit the hole behind the painting, I walk over to my room as Mira helps Bruno out. I open my door and walk in.

"Right there... let me know when your done.." I point to my vision cave as I walk past it, grabbing a green book off the bookshelf and plopping down at my desk. I heard Mirabel close the door behind her once she entered.

"Thank you Lee... I'm sorry-" "Only family gets to call me that.. you are not family..." I get up and walk over to my bed, getting on and going under the covers.

"Not... Family?" I heard him whisper, I just ignored it. 

-shirt time skip because I need at least SOME lines from the movie for this part-

"If I see something that you don't like, you're gonna be like 'Bruno makes bad things happen. oh he's creepy, and his vision killed my goldfish" I slip out from underneath my covers and watch, I felt bad for saying what I said...

"You might wanna hold on" he holds Mira's hands, taking a deep breath while closing his eyes. As he exhales, some of the sand begins forming a dome around them as some of the green magic lit the room up. Mirabel looks around, seeming amazed. They don't notice- or choose not to notice- Eddie stand up and get a bit closer, standing in the middle of the room as he watches in awe. Sure he's done this himself a couple times but he's never actually seen his father do it and what it looks like.

"Butterfly!" Bruno cheered, pointing at a yellow butterfly. "Follow the butterfly!" "You, you fight her!" "What!?" "Wait, no no. Is that a hug?" "Am I fighting or hugging?!-" "an embrace... An embrace! To make the candle brighter you have to embrace her!" "Embrace who?" "Oh, almost there..." "Who is it?" "Almost there... Oh, hah! I got it!" The vision revealed...

"ISABELLA!?!?"

The sand began to slow, the light flashed before Bruno blinked, causing the sand to fall. Bruno holds the vision. 

"Oh your sister, that's great!" He cheered, holding the vision so Mira could see. Instead, Mirabel just makes an angry face, growling a bit. Bruno sighed, "Everytime.." he tosses the vision, it landed in the sand. Bruno glances at his son and Eddie notices quickly turning towards his bookshelf.

"Hey, Lee- Eddie... I wanted to apologize..." Bruno walked over, he hesitated before putting his hand on his shoulder. Eddie looked down for a minute before hugging his father tightly, burying his head in his shoulder, he was crying.

Bruno stumbled back a bit but quickly returned the hug, rubbing circles on his back with one hand while the other was on the back of his head.

"I'm so sorry my son. I caused you so much pain, I left you when you needed me. I never even showed you how to use your gift, it must've hurt you like it hurt me. I'm sorry I-" "it's ok dad... I'm sorry I said you weren't family.. You are family, your my dad." Eddie muttered, it was a tad muffled because his face was still buried in his father's shoulder but Bruno was still able to make it out.

They stood there for a bit, just hugging each other, there were no words spoken but they knew they loved each other, even after everything. Mirabel watched, she didn't forget about the vision but she ignored it for a bit, she was happy to see her cousin finally with his father again after all this time.

"So.. Do I get permission to call you 'Lee'?" He chuckled. "Yes, yes you do dad." He laughed, hugging his father again before they released from the hug.

"I see you take after me with the outfit." Bruno teased.

"Yeah, I always did." Eddie chuckled, brushing a strand of hair out his face. 

"And you still have the necklace." Bruno said, looking at his son's neck.

"Yeah, I wear it everyday..-" "alright you two, save the reunion for afterwards. We have a miracle to save. After that you two can talk all you want." Mirabel interrupted me.

"Hey! Don't interrupt me! Remember what happened last week when you did!" I stated, turning towards Mirabel.

"What happened last week?" Bruno asked.

"Well-" "I'll tell him, he's my father. Besides, you'll probably change it up so he could be on your side!" I cut her off purposely. Mirabel scoffed as she crossed her arms, this is how they messed with each other and she loved it.

"Anyways, so last week Me, Mirabel, and Camilo were talking about what to do for Friday's game night and I was suggesting we play Monopoly (Yes they have monopoly so stfu and leave me alone) but Mirabel," I turn and glare at her, she was holding back a laugh. "Suggested we play hide-and-seek, nighttime version. And when Camilo agreed I chased her around casita and once I caught up we got into a fight. And yes, we did get in trouble but that's not the point." 

"You're just salty I won and we ended up playing hide-and-seek!" "Am not!" "Are too!" "Am not!" "Am too" "I AM NOT-" "Calm down Lee. If you want, once we finish the three of us can play." "*grumble* fine..." "Good,  now that's settled, let's go."
