We open up in the Horakoth temple where Evil-lyn walks up to Hordak to ask her father "Excuse me, Lord Hordak, I mean father, If you really are my father... but where did I come from?" Hordak snorts, asking her "you're really asking me where babies come from? it's not that complicated, when a mommy bat and a daddy bat love each other very much..." Evelyn tells him "No not that, I meant who were my parents? I never got to know you or my mother growing up, I was raised by a coven of word witches who called themselves the Faceless ones who trained me in the dark arts since I was a child, not that they were actually faceless that name was only metaphorical" Hordak sighs, telling her "Your mother was the high priestess of the Faceless ones, a powerful word witch named Magestra. she like the rest of her coven was a loyal acolyte of Horokoth, and the one who freed me from Dimensional limbo all those many moons ago" we then get a flashback of the Faceless Ones praying to a statue of Horokoth followed by the High Priestess Magestra standing before her followers holding a staff with the Horde symbol at the end (same one that Hordak wields) she then shouts an incantation that summons a giant cosmic bat causing the other witches to chant "Horakoth! Horakoth! Horakoth!" the bat then takes humanoid form revealing it to be none other than Hordak followed by Magestra kneeling before Hordak and giving her staff to him. Hordak picks up the Staff and thanks her and the rest of her coven for freeing him from being trapped in the Dimension of Despondos. Hordak's narration continues, saying "I was grateful to the high priestess for freeing me, and for that I rewarded her with my seed. which of course became you, at the cost of her own life" as we jump-cut to a heavily-pregnant Magestra going into labor before dying in childbirth, as not even the dark magics of her coven could preserve her life. the witches of the faceless ones hold up Magestra's newborn, noticing that the child was born with abnormally white hair and violet eyes. we briefly cut back to present day as Evelyn takes a step back from Hordak, exclaiming "so you really are my father" Hordak smirks, saying "Precisely, the power you now wield comes from me" as we cut to another flashback this time to when Evelyn was a teenager as a street urchin using her dark magics to perform tricks to distract the commonfolk of Eternos so that she can pickpocket them only for her to get attacked by RK units that she destroys with a couple magic blasts, however she is then apprehended by Eternian royal guards who are about to take her to the dungeon until a young Prince Keldor shows up (accompanied by then-man-at-arms Kronis who asks the prince if this is the witch that destroyed his robots) Keldor tells the royal guards to let her go followed by Keldor extending his hand to Evelyn offering her a job as his brother the king's Court Mage of which she happily accepts. We then catch back up to Krass and Ork-O escaping through an alleyway while Horde robots are terrorizing the city before Krass hops on a nearby sky-sled telling Ork-O to hold on, the little robot wizard asking Krass where they're going. Krass tells him "The Horde has already overrun Eternos, the Tiger Tribe can't be far behind" Ork-O then asks "but what about the kingdom? we just can't leave them behind with nobody to protect them" Krass then sighs, taking the sky-sled to the Royal palace which is being flooded with Horde robots. Krass then shouts "By the power of Grayskull!" and transforms into Ram Ma'am ramming through several waves of Horde bots saving the lives of Tuvar and Baddrah (who were being chased around the palace by horde bots) in the process the two thanking Krass as Ork-O helps the two up. Krass then says "come on you two, we gotta check on the king to see if he's okay" the four entering the throne room to see King Randor being held in a chokehold by a Horde robot until Krass destroys it with her ram-ball saving Randor's life. Randor asks Krass and Ork-O where they've been, and Ork-O tells Randor that Krass was going to abandon post to check on the tiger tribe amidst the invasion but he talked her out of it, Krass telling Ork-O "you forgot the part where the two of us got pummeled by Horde generals, those guys are a lot tougher than Sleletor's dark masters" followed by Ork-O exclaiming "and a lot scarier too!" King Randor sits back on this throne, telling the four "With my son and his team off-world, this leaves Eternia unprotected. You cannot protect this planet alone" Krass then asks the king "what about Stratos and his bootleg MOTU?" King Randor then says "Unavailable, the heroic warriors are busy defending Avion from Horde occupation. We're going to need to assemble a team of replacement masters" Krass tells King Randor "I'll help the kingdom any way I can your majesty, it's the least I can do for Adam, and to atone for my past sins" followed by Ork-O exclaiming "as will I!" King Randor tells the two of them "good, I'll send Tuvar and Baddra accompany you on a diplomatic mission to the Island nation of Anwat Gar, although we've had our differences in the past the Gar could be a crucial ally in the war against the Horde" Krass then exclaims "excuse me, did you just say Tuvar and Baddrah? you can't be serious" Tuvar puts his arm on Krass's back telling her "that's right missy, the king trusts us to guard you with our lives" with Baddrah exclaiming "and we promise not to get in the way!" Krass sighs while they are all being watched by a mysterious female royal guard who sneaks off. we then cut to the Horakoth temple where we see Hordak sitting atop his throne while Mantenna, Wrap Trap, Grizzlor, Modulok, and Leech stand by his side. we then see the female bodyguard from earlier enter the temple to shed her armor in a puff of purple smoke revealing it to be Evil-lyn in disguise who reports to Hordak that "Tammy" and a couple friends of hers are on their way to the island of Anwat Gar. Hordak snorts, telling her "we must head for Anwat Gar at once" Evelyn then asks "pardon me father, but what would our enemies want with a tiny island nation?" Hordak clenches his fist and resonds with "within that tiny island nation lies the Legacy stone, a Grayskull artifact that can grant those who wield it limitless power. if we can get our hands on it before the children, then we can use said power to bring all of Eternia to its knees" we then cut to Baddrah flying one of the royal carrier ships over the Eternian oceans, Tuvar sitting next to him asking "Are we there yet, Baddrah?" followed by Baddrah saying "Not yet, Tuvar" all the while Krass and Ork-O are busy in awe of watching a giant sea serpent breaching out of the water, Orko-O holding a boulder with a smiley face scribbled on it in his arms with Ork-O saying "it's okay Rocky, no need to be scared" Krass rolls her eyes, asking "Did you really need to bring your pet rock with us, Ork-O? that thing's gonna be dead weight for the whole trip" Ork-O gets offended, telling her "He is not! for starters, his name is Rocky. or should I call him Rokkon? or Granita, if it's a girl" Krass groans, telling him "It's just a rock, Ork-O!" Ork-O tells her "Just a rock? I disagree, he's a boulder with a heart of gold! don't worry Rocky, she didn't mean it" as he pats the top of the boulder with his little robot hand. Krass then growls with frustration. however our heroes are being watched by Evelyn and the Hordesmen from atop the water on their hovercraft, Evelyn using her magic to spy on the heroes confused as to why they have a rock on board with them. Grizzlor then growls, telling her "just signal the troops already" with Mantenna saying "yeah, start the invasion" Evelyn sighs before firing a purple blast of magic energy into the air causing a bunch of other Horde robots riding on Hovercrafts to show up and join them. we then cut to our heroes landing in Anwat Gar, Baddrah exclaiming "Alright everybody, we're here!" Tuvar exclaiming "I hope the locals are friendly" Krass shrugging telling the two "It'll be find, I knew a couple kids in the tiger tribe who were Gar" followed by Krass, Tuvar, and Baddrah hopping off the large vehicle. however Ork-O struggles to move the boulder off, Krass telling Ork-O to just leave it there. however Ork-O refuses saying "NO! I refuse to leave Rocky behind!" Ork-O then uses his magic to lift the boulder into the air allowing him to safely carry it to the ground. our heroes then explore the Gar village (the buildings having a very asian-inspired design to them) with Ork-O rolling his pet boulder around while they are surrounded by the blue-skinned Gar villagers who give our heroes a look of distrust. Krass explains to the Gar that she and her companions came to Anwat Gar on a diplomatic mission on behalf of the kingdom of Eternos to ask for the Gar to help them fight back against the Evil Horde who pose a threat to all Eternia. the Gar however object, one Gar asking "and how do we know that you outsiders aren't just here to steal the legacy stone?" all the Gar villagers gasp as we see a Gar noble with a white ponytail wearing a golden robe march through the crowd. Tuvar exclaims "hey Baddrah, I don't think they like us very much" Baddrah saying "what gave you that idea?" Ork-O hiding behind his pet rock saying "protect me Rocky!" Krass tries to diffuse the situation exclaiming "What? no. we're telling the truth, I don't even know what a legacy stone is!" the Gar noble then exclaims "And you expect me to believe that after your king persecuted our entire people for the actions of one individual? you are sadly mistaken. for I am Dash-Shel, son of Dy-Lex and guardian of the Legacy stone" as he pulls out his twin sickle weapons. Krass says "I don't want to fight you!" Dash-Shel tells her "you have no choice!" Krass then exclaims "By the power of Grayskull!" and transforms into Ram-Ma'am who has a one-on-one fight Krass ramming at Dash-Shel with her helmet only for him to grab her by the helmet with his sickles and toss her on the ground. the Gar villagers cheer on Dash-Shel who soaks in all the glory while Ork-O, Tuvar, and Baddrah cheer on Krass to get up. Krass struggles to get back up as Dash-Shel sharpens his twin sickles ready to finish her off, only for a bunch of Horde robots to show up riding on hovercrafts that fire blasts that torch the Gar village. Dash-Shel is confused, asking what's going on. Krass tells him that those are the Evil Horde, saying that they're the bad guys not her as she uses her ram-ball to destroy several Horde bots saving the lives of a family of Gar villagers that Dash-Shel watches realizing that maybe Krass was telling the truth after all, meanwhile Ork-O uses his magic to lift up his pet boulder exclaiming "forgive me Rocky!" as he flings the boulder at a nearby Horde bot crushing it. Ork-O then picks his pet boulder Rocky back up while Tuvar and Baddra comically charge into battle whacking several Horde bots with their pikes only for the Hordesmen to arrive on the scene with Evil-lyn leading the pack exclaiming "your people must surrender your Legacy stone to the Horde, or else you will all be slaughtered in the name of Hordak. choose wisely" Dash-Shel then brandishes his twin sickles and tells her "I will NEVER surrender the most cherished relic of my people to tyrants like you!" as he lunges at the Hordesmen who all proceed to gang up on Dash-Shel with Grizzlor beating him with his bare fists, Wrap Trap flinging him around with his prehensile bandages, and Mantenna firing his eye-lasers at him which Dash-Shel manages to deflect with his sickles. Ork-O tries to fire magic blasts at Leech to protect him but Leech opens his mouth and swallows Ork-O's magic exclaiming "Delicious!" Modulok is then about to punch Dash-Shel in the face only for Krass to come to his rescue by him Ram-balling right through Modulok breaking him into little pieces. Dash-Shel then grabs Krass by the arm and tells her to come with him with Tuvar and Baddrah following behind, Tuvar exclaiming "hey wait for us!" along with Ork-O rolling his pet boulder exclaiming "don't forget me and Rocky!" all the while Modulok's pieces pop back together, Modulok exclaiming "hopefully I didn't forget which of my parts go where" while Evil-Lyn tells the Hordesmen to get a move on, saying that they're getting away. meanwhile our heroes run up a hill to a massive temple, Dash-Shel thanking Krass and her friends (and their robot friend and pet rock) for saving his life and protecting his people, admitting he was wrong about all of them. Krass smiles, telling Dash-Shel that she's made mistakes too. Dash-Shel tells our heroes to come inside, and our heroes (plus Ork-O's pet rock) enter the temple and are in awe of the giant green crystal floating inside the central chamber. Dash-Shel explains to our heroes "This is the Legacy stone, an artifact that has been my family's sworn duty to protect for generations. me, my father, and his father before him have all had the responsibility of protecting this stone from those who wish to use its power for evil purposes" the symbol on Krass's forehead starts glowing and she then notices the same gold aura flowing through the Legacy stone. Krass then places her hand on the stone, exclaiming "I recognize this power, it's the power of Grayskull!" only for Evelyn and the Hordesmen to enter the temple with Evelyn exclaiming "Hand over the stone to us, and nobody gets hurt!" Krass then says "I don't think so, old bat lady" with a vexed Evelyn exclaiming "excuse me?" Ork-O freaks out when the legacy stone shoots out yellow lightning bolt hits his pet rock causing Rocky's drawn-on smiley face to glow gold before shifting around to turn into a mountain-shaped power symbol. Dash-Shel's sickles and Tuvar and Baddrah's pikes start glowing the same golden aura which Krass notices and just smiles at. Evil-lyn takes a step back and exclaims "Oh no, I recognize that glow!" Krass then exclaims "Everybody, follow me! By the power of Grayskull!" (cue transformation sequence for all four of them, with Dash-shel's sickes turning into a pair of ring blades and gaining gold-and-blue samurai armor, Tuvar and Baddrah fusing into a two-headed fire and ice monster, and Rocky the pet rock transforming into a giant golem-like rock creature) once the transformation sequence is over, Ork-O hugs the giant golem's leg exclaiming "Rocky, you're alive!" the large stone creature telling Ork-O "The power of Grayskull gave me life. from now on call me Stonedar, master of Earth!" Evil-lyn then points her staff at the newly-transformed masters and exclaims "Destroy them!" prompting the Hordesmen to each attack the new team of replacement masters, Stonedar and Grizzlor engaging in a one-on-one fistfight. meanwhile Krass fights of Modulok who fires all of his body parts at her one-by-one which she dodges, exclaiming "sorry pal, that trick won't work on me a second time!" before kicking his two disembodied heads into the wall. meanwhile Wrap Trap extends his bandages at the newly-transformed Dash-shel who deflects the bandages by spinning his body rapidly creating a tornado, exclaiming "Call me Sy-Klone, master of wind!" meanwhile the fused Tuvar and Baddra are busy bickering over having to share the same body in this form and the two sides start punching each other with Ork-O exclaiming "you two are on the same team! you're supposed to be fighting the enemy, not each other!" Tuvar exclaiming "But I don't like being stuck to this guy!" Baddra telling him "Well too bad!" only for Mantenna and Leech to attack them from both sides, the fused duo brandishing a pair of axes transformed from their pikes with Baddra delivering a fire slash to Mantenna that knocks him into a wall with Mantenna exclaiming "hot! hot!" before asking his partner "so what do you suggest we call ourselves in this form?" Tuvar then freezes Leech solid with an ice slash attack before answering with "how about Two-Bad, master of Fire and Ice?" Baddrah saying "ooo I like it!" Evil-lyn gets impatient and says "If I can't have the legacy stone, then I shall destroy it!" as she fires a blast of magic from her staff only for Ork-O to deflect it with a spell that transforms the energy blast into a swarm of butterflies that all fly out of the temple, Ork-O exclaiming "ta-da!" while the replacement masters all applaud Ork-O who says "do not take me for some conjuror of cheap tricks, Evelyn! abracadabra, abraca-dee!" before blasting her out of the temple followed by the little robot wizard shrugging and saying "I always wanted to say that" meanwhile the Hordesmen help Evil-lyn back on her feet before they all retreat. the replacement masters then return to the Gar village for Ram Ma'am, Sy-Klone, Stonedar, and Two-Bad to destroy all the remaining horde bots causing the Gar villagers to all applaud them as heroes. our heroes then all detransform (except Stonedar because he can only walk and talk in his master form) to board the Royal carrier ship except for Dash-Shel much to the concern of Krass who asks him what's wrong. Dash-Shel tells her "I can't just leave my people behind, neither can I abandon my duties as protector of the Legacy stone" Krass puts her hand on Dash-Shel's shoulder and tells him "A big ol' He-Man once told me that it's our duty as Masters of the universe to protect everyone, not just the village" Dash-Shel upon hearing this agrees to join our heroes and says goodbye to his people promising he will return someday before boarding the ship and accompanying our heroes on the journey back to Eternos. we then cut back to Hordak sitting on his throne in the abandoned Horakoth temple only for him to be confronted by Zodac who tells him "As a cosmic enforcer I see all that goes on in time and space. the siege of Anwat Gar has been thwarted, your daughter and your underlings have failed to steal the Legacy stone, face it Hordak: you've lost" Hordak gets off his throne and snorts at Zodac ending our episode on a cliffhanger.
