"I shot him... I shot him... NO, NO, NO... why... this wasn't supposed to happen. I just shot him... just like that?"[*flashback*]My name is Jade, and I'm just a very ordinary high school kid. Not popular, not seen, not heard. I fill my days with as many hobbies as possible—just for the fun of it. Today, I woke up and decided to go for a walk.Everything was normal. I was just out on my own, bought a few things for myself, and then headed back home. When I arrived, I saw my mom rushing my little brother, Jay, to school. He's always a bit of a mess in the mornings."Jay, you lost your freaking tie again, didn't you!" Mom yelled, exasperation clear in her voice.Jay, fumbling as usual, replied, "It's not lost! I just forgot where I kept it last time.""That's called getting your things misplaced, idiot!" I teased, smirking at him."You could at least make things easier by not mocking me," Jay mumbled, barely audible. Our mornings were always this chaotic—every single day, without fail.As always, I packed my bag, got dressed, put on my best smile, and walked out the door, ready to face another day.You might be wondering, "Where's the dad in this story?" Well, it's not that I don't have one, but we rarely see him around. He doesn't live with us anymore. But that's not really part of this story, so let's move on.When I reached school, I spotted my friends: Penny, Sally, and Sain. The four of us were inseparable, like the petals of a clover. It was always just us—no one between, no one outside. We weren't popular, except for Sain, who somehow knew everyone. We laughed and chatted on our way to class. But as soon as we sat down, I remembered: today was the day we were getting our test results back. I had worked my butt off for this test, hoping for something really good. But when the teacher walked in, he looked at me with a stern, displeased expression. He asked me to stand up before distributing the papers. My heart sank when he called me up to the front and mocked me for barely passing. He insulted me in front of the whole class while I stood there, silent, just taking in the barrage of his words. Then, out of nowhere, a sharp stingy pain shot through my left cheek. The teacher slapped me—right there, in front of everyone. I stood frozen, tears welling up in my eyes, but it didn't stop him. He slapped me again, and this time, the tears spilled over, streaming down my face. Yet, he continued. Finally, he let me go, telling me to return to my seat as if nothing had happened. The lesson carried on, but for me, time had stopped. It had always been like this—being mocked, being belittled for things I couldn't achieve while they remained blind to what I was truly capable of.[Break time]During the break, I didn't join my friends. Instead, I went to a spot no one knew about, a place where I could be alone. As I stood there, thoughts swirled in my mind. "Am I really enough? Am I really built for this?" I whispered to myself. Then, as I looked down, something caught my eye—something that made my heart race with confusion and dread. I saw...
