The ship that Rex and Akito had boarded had already left the port of the Trading Guild and was now on its voyage to the location of where Jin wanted to salvage to happen at. As discussed before, Akito was first on look out during the night shift. So, while standing on what was basically the crow's nest of the ship, Akito looked through the pair of binoculars he was given, keeping an eye out in the massively vacant cloud sea for anything that could be an arise for concern. However, he spotted something that took him by slight surprise.

Akito's thoughts: "Isn't that the same special ship that was docked at the Guild? It's following behind us? Hmm..." Before he'd had time to question it further, a familiar voice caught his attention.

Nia: "Ugh, it's way too cold up here." He turned around and saw that Nia had made her way up to the crow's nest as well. He crossed his arms.

Akito: "You? Cold? Aren't you the one wearing that full-body jumper suit that looks extremely warm comfortable."

Nia: "S-Still, it's too cold, even for me up here. Got a problem with that?" She crossed her arms and stared at him. Akito could only shrug before looking back out into the cloud sea.

Akito: "Who knows." He hummed and closed his eyes. "Well if you're cold, why aren't you below deck?"

Nia: "They've started boozin' down there. Why not you join 'em?"

Akito: "I prefer the quiet areas. In that way, I won't get a pounding headache all the time. Why don't YOU join them?"

Nia: "It's not that I hate it, I just really don't need a headache right now."

Akito: "Well welcome to the club then." He opened his eyes and stared up at the moon. "Though I guess its fortunate you're not a salvager, then."

Nia: "Hmm? Why's that?" She looked back at him, tilting her head to the side.

Akito: ""Swim like a fish, and drink like one too" Rex told me that's the Salvager's code. And believe me, they live by that to the max. It's almost concerning to be honest."

Nia: "Ugh, sounds terrible. I don't think I'll be changing careers..." She groaned as she moved next to him and leaned against the railing as she too began to stare out into the clouds.

Akito: "I told ya."

A brief silence overcame them as Nia turned her head to look at him. Seeing how his long black hair flowed in the wind and the moonlight reflected off his red eyes entranced the feline for a moment, but she soon shook her head to snap out of it.

Nia: "So... If you don't mind me asking, Akito, why did you start salvaging in the first place?"

Akito: "Oh? Asking about my personal life now? What, you planning to ask me out on a date now, short stack?" In an instant, Nia's face went completely red as she began to stutter.

Nia: "W-What!? W-Where the hell did you get that idea, you arse!?" Akito stared at the clearly flustered Nia for a moment before he smirked and snickered to himself before shaking his head.

Akito: "I was kidding, sheesh." He lightly laughed while Nia pouted in annoyance, feeling completely humiliated, so she punched his shoulder. "Ow."

Nia: "You idiot. *hiss*"

Akito: "Right, right. Anyways back to your question." He looked up. "In all honesty, it was... kind of a mistake." That answer took the feline for a loop. She was wondering how the heck could he end up here in a mistake of all things. "You see, I was and... to a certain extent, still am a wanderer. I've been travelling around the world of Alrest for a while now with some set goals."
