In Gotham city

I ran through the hallway to the right of Clayface while Tim ran to the left. I watched carefully as he threw 2 taser discs into his back. "That don't work anymore" Clayface said as he chuckled. I ran out of the shadows. "Then try this" I said as I grabbed a pill from my utility belt that Batman had given me prior to the mission. He roared as he ran towards me. "Here comes the airplane" I said as I shot it into his mouth. Explosions appeared to go off in his stomach as clay leaked from his body and he started to harden. "Distraction went off as planned, Robin" Conner said as Tim walked out of the shadows and into the light. "Thanks" he said as Robin's figure came into view. "Just happy it worked" he added as I smiled. I looked over to the sewer to see Beast Boy as a crocodile coming into the water before turning human again. "Aw man, is it over already? I didn't even get a souvenir for the trophy room" He said as I chuckled. "Sorry Greenie, maybe next time" I said as I ruffled his hair playfully.

"Woah dude, I think that smell qualifies" Jaime said as he waved his hand in front of his nose. "Delta squad to cave, Target neutralized" Miss Martian said as she radioed back to the cave. "Get off your ass Nightwing" I said as I heard him grumble. "Good work Delta. Come on home. Nightwing out" he said as I smiled. He has grown up so much. I mean we all have, I refuse to believe I'm 22 now. "I should call Roy" I said as I pulled out my phone and walked away. It went straight to voicemail, I expected it to though. "Hey, just finished a mission, I'd love to see you when you get your head out of your ass" I said as I left him another voicemail. He did eventually move out of our apartment, he gave no indication that he was going to leave. His obsession with finding Speedy really made our relationship hit a standstill. But that didn't mean I didn't love him though, Roy Harper was my best friend and my soulmate. I could never turn my back on him, I doubt he could do the same with me. We needed each other's support.

At the Mount Justice.

I stood and watched Lagoon Boy get his ass kicked. "Neptune's beard, you did it to me again" he yelled as he pounded his fist on the floor. "I don't care how many years you trained as Robin and then Nightwing, one of these days you're mine chum" La'gaan said as Dick helped him up. "With a stance like that? Good luck" I said as Tim elbowed me in the side. "I don't doubt it, Lagoon Boy" Dick said confidently. "I do" I said as La'gaan gave me a dirty look. I was drawn to the zeta tube as it activated and the others walked in. "How'd you get back here so fast?" Tim asked me curiously. "Motivation" I said as I smirked at the boy. "Slow down beautiful" Mal said as Karen returned to her normal size. "Wanna tell you what's on for tonight" he tried to say as she rushed past him. "Oh sorry, Mal I can't. I'm already late for a lab session with Dr Palmer" she said quickly before leaving. "She loves you, don't worry" I said as I patted him on the shoulder. I know deep down that he knew that.

"I'm hitting the showers" Conner said as he walked by a making out La'gaan and M'gann. "Now that sounds like a plan" Jaime said as he looked aggressively at Gar. "You know, for you Hermano" he said as his suit came off of him. "Clayface is safely back in his Arkham cell" Tim tells Dick as I nodded. "Good work" Dick said as I smiled at the teenager. "I didn't do much, I just..." Tim started to say before the cave interrupted him. "Emergency alert" I heard Captain Atom's voice say as it came over the intercom. "United Nations headquarters is under attack" it continued as a Holoscreen of Captain Atom appeared. "Beta's only 2 blocks away" Mal said as I nodded. "Captain Atom, the team's beta squad is in the vicinity" Dick said to the Leaguer. "ETA is 3 minutes" I added. "Go Barbara" I whispered as I nodded down at Tim. "She'll be okay" I told him as I looked down at him. "When do I get put in the field" Damian asked us arrogantly from behind us. "When you learn some self control" I said as I looked at my reckless brother. He was a mini-Bruce.
