Scott's POVMe and Owen were trying to figure out the best way to get back. We couldn't go up the stairs or climb up the shaft because of my leg.
"I have an idea?," Owen said in an unsure tone.
"Okay?"
"How about we check if that rope to the attic is still by the pond. If it is, we can climb it."
"I thought you cut it down."
"Martyn keeps putting it back up."
"And what about my leg?"
"Well, Scott, all your paws have claws, and right now, you have three working paws, so right now, you should be able to claw your way up with what you got now." Owen smugly said.
"Geez, what would I ever do without you." I said sarcastically.
Owen rolled his eyes and began to walk to the pond.

"Oh, thank god," squeaked owen as we walked up to the rope, which had been rehung again.
"Okay, Scott, you go up first, and I'll be right behind you... in case you fall or something."
"Owen, I'm pretty sure I'll be fine, but I wouldn't want you to get your ears in a twist," I said as I started to climb up.
"Wait, isn't it- oh never mind," Owen said as he started climbing too.

As we got into the attic, the sun had already gone down. Owen offered to walk me home, and I accepted.
On the way, I was thinking about how the whole day went, then I thought about Owen and another thing that's been on my mind.
Will he say yes? No? Who knows!
I take a big puff of air and said," Hey Owen?"
"Yeah Scott?"
"Do you want to stay at my place tonight?"
His ears seemed to perk up at that, tail lifting a bit too.
"I'D LOV- I mean, yeah sure mate"
I give him a warm smile as we continue walking.
I'm so lucky.
