(Set in 2023) also, I still don't really proof read so there might be typos-

Yn POV

I look down at my phone as I sit at my desk after getting home from having lunch with my friends to see that I have a voicemail. I don't usually get voicemails or even listen to them but I decide to instead of just ignoring it. I set my phone down and lean back in my chair letting the voicemail play.

I heard some paper shuffling and then a voice, a familiar voice, the voice of my best friend Finney Blake. He was the only one in my friend group who didn't come out to lunch.

"Hey Yn... Well I've been doing this for a while two weeks to be exact, it was only then that i realised you don't listen to your voicemails. But for some odd reason I feel like you're listening.

Well here goes, this is letter... 15, letter 15, A.K.A my last try at this."

He pauses for a couple minutes, an

"To, Yn

When I'm in a room without you, I feel like I shouldn't be there, and when I go a day, or god help me even a week without hearing your voice it doesn't feel right. It's, like oh god, I can't even breathe without you. I mean you could just exist and I would be forever grateful. You may not like me back, but for me, you are the reason the Earth revolves around the Sun. You are the reason the moon decides to control the tides.

It all started a year ago, when I first met you, luckily we were alone at that time. All I remember was looking up, into your eyes, so beautiful, so divine, so mysterious. I fell and got lost in them instantly and I honestly still am as I write and read this. I am forever lost and falling on your eyes, and I never wish to be found or caught. Never."

Finny pauses, then moves onto a different subject.

"And Yn, if you are listening, meet me at Pine Tree park, at 10:00 this evening"

Then the voicemail then ends, oh, my, fucking, god, FINALLY. I've loved Finny ever since I met him! I frantically look up at the clock, it's 09:45.

"Shit!"

I run out of my room, bolt down the stairs and sprint out of my house and down to the park. I might aswell try to get there on time, I mean

1. I love him

2. He loves me

3. I was being stupid never listening to any of my voicemails

4. If I don't go now I don't think I'll ever have another chance.

I can't believe I was so stupid not even noticing that he liked me, now that I think about it it's obvious!

And before I realise it, it's storming outside, (I know but I refuse to not put rain in 95% of my writing so yeah) I throw open the park gate, and I see a person, the only person there. Finney.

I run up to him, but he doesn't see me, he's facing the opposite way. I summon all the breath I have and shout with all my heart.

"FINNEY"

He turns around and by this point I'm within a few feet of him. He looks confused for a second and then his face lights up.

"I decided to listen to my voicemail for once"

He smiled,

"Good, because I was about to just give up for good."

I shrug, so glad I listened to it,

"Fate I guess"

"So yn do you love m-" I suddenly get this overwhelming urge to just spill out all my feelings for him the only way I knew how.

I grab both sides of his jaw, slippery with the falling rain, and pull his face onto mine, his left silky soft against mine. I feel crackles of electricity whare his fingers lay themselves on my waist. We continue for what seems to be hours, until the need for air constricts my lungs and we have to pull apart.

"I love you"

"No, I love you"

A/n

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, so I'm not updating as much because some construction site near my house that started a week ago is messing with my WiFi so I can't use it as much. I'm also running out of ideas so PLEASE request because I'm seriously thinking of ending this book and then moving into a different TBP book or a new fandom.

Ok I'm out see ya in the next part 👋
