I groggily opened my eyes and peered at my reflection in the mirror. My hair was a mess, and my eyes were puffy and tired. I let out a deep sigh and rubbed my face, trying to shake off the sleepiness.

What the fuck.

i waddled over to the bathroom careful not to wake my parents. I washed away the sleep and brushed my teeth. i applied a little concealer and some mascara to get me through the day.

i stared at the blush in the corner of my dresser for a couple of seconds.
should i put some?

Nah.

But it does complete the look...

I don't know...

Fuck it.

I got out of my car and walked over to the cafe as fast as I can.

The coffee shop was cozy and inviting, with warm lighting and comfortable chairs. The walls were lined with bookshelves, and the smell of freshly brewed coffee filled the air. The waiters were friendly and welcoming, and the sound of soft music played in the background. It was the perfect place to relax and unwind, to hang out, to meet, and to mingle with new people.

I threw my apron on and pulled my hair in a low bun. It was Saturday, so the cafe was not really expecting many customers in the morning.

I looked at my phone to check the time really quick so I could open up the store. Saturdays and Sundays were my days. I would be the one to open and close the coffee shop, meaning Jaylen, Enzo, Sarah, and Cameron would come one hour after I had opened the store.

The time was 6:55, meaning i had five more minutes till the opening of the coffee shop. I swooped the floor really quick and tidied the chairs thrown over the tables.

7:00

i opened the cafe.

7:30

i started to greet people and take orders. turns out, people actually do come here early on Saturday, seriously?

8:00

"Guess who just walked in?"

I turned around as fast as i can, I am actually surprised my neck did not break.
"Enzo!" I squealed, happy to see my best friend, jumping into his arms in one motion for him to catch me.

Enzo was always there when I needed him. He had a kind smile and a gentle spirit that put everyone at ease. He was the kind of guy who would drop everything to help a friend in need, no matter what. He was loyal, trustworthy, and always had your back. Enzo and I had been best friends for about 7 years; we know everything about each other. And i mean everything.

His blonde hair would always be tamed and slicked back, but a few stubborn strands kept falling back over his forehead, his eyes were a light shade of hazel that pierces right through your soul if you dare stare at it for a long minute. Enzo was very tall, and he had a muscular build; I'm surprised his clothes didn't rip apart from his muscles.

"Yo, what's up, Cel?" Enzo's voice was very deep, and the morning voice didn't help with that.

"Nothing to be honest, how are you, Enzo?"

"I am amazing, thanks for asking."

Ding.

The door suddenly opened and a trio walked into the cafe. They walked over to the booth in the corner and sat down. I'm not sure for how long I've been staring, but i felt a weird energy coming from them, even though they look very kind.
