My phone pings. I'm not surprised when I see it's from Eli but his message is surprising.
Eli: My friend Jacob's parents are out of town for the weekend and he's throwing a party. Come with me?
I groan and text him back.
Me: Okay.
Eli: Good. I've got mums car, I'll pick you up at 8.
The last time I went to a party with Eli we ended up kissing in front of everyone in a massive game of spin the bottle. And going to this party also means that I need to find an outfit. I search my wardrobe and find the perfect dress.

I put it on and curl my hair just in time for 8. He knocks on the door and I'm confused. He has his own key he doesn't need to knock I tell him. He just says "It felt right."
I grab my handbag and we walk out the front door and I lock it behind me. As we get to the car he opens my door for me. I climb inside and he closes it behind me. He climbs into the drivers side and smiles to himself.
The drive there is just over 20 minutes. Me and Eli talk about the most random things and even about how we were meant to have a movie marathon tonight.
"Oh shit I thought I got out of that." He laughs.
"I'm actually offended." I joke. "And don't lie you love movie nights with me."
"Yeah." He laughs. "Yeah I do."
"Exactly." I said proudly.
We pull up to Jacob's house. It's an average size house with what I assumed was once a lovely garden. But it's now filled with used red plastic cups and not entirely sober teenagers. I unplug my seatbelt and climb out the car with Eli. I take Eli's arm and we walk up to the door. He knocks on the door and immediately I can't hear my own thoughts. The music is so loud I fear it might burst my ear drums. The person who opened the door must have blended into the crowd because they were no where in view.
"C'mon y/n." He smirks at me. As soon as we walk in were surrounded by Eli's new friends. "Hey princess? Could you grab me a drink please?" He asks politely.
"Yeah okay I'll be back in a minute." I say walking back with his hand still in mine until I let it drop. I search for any form of liquid at this party and quicker than I thought I found a keg. I picked up two unused plastic cups and filled them up for me and Eli. On my way back I stop short of Eli and his posse and hide around the corner when I hear my name.
"Who y/n? No we came here as friends." I hear Eli say.
"She is mad fine, bro you could be hitting that." I hear a boy say.
