*Hi I just wanted to let you know Y/n/n will be your nickname, just to avoid any confusion.*

It's a bright and shining morning. But it's not like other mornings, today is my birthday. Every birthday I throw a massive party inviting everyone from my classes, It's been a tradition since I was 5 years old. Dad always helped me throw a few of them, but it was usually Demetri and Hawk that helped me. Despite everything I don't think Hawk coming to the party would be my best idea, he would probably agree. Dad's got another night shift that starts at 4 pm until 5 am, It also helped with the fact dad was extremely calm about me throwing a party.

Demetri helped get everything ready for today, snacks, drinks everything we could possibly need for the party. Today, he and Miguel will help me give out the invites for tonight. I browse my wardrobe for the perfect outfit. Today was my day.

I pick up my phone and it had already blown up. I'd been tagged on stories, saying happy birthday and too many messages to count. None the less I replied to every single one with the same amount of enthusiasm. Sam. Moon, Kyler, Miguel, Demetri, Kenny and so many others had wished me a wonderful birthday. Even Robby said happy birthday to me. But as I kept refreshing my phone screen I didn't receive a message from Hawk. It's for the best I thought to myself. Yesterday was a moment of weakness I could not let happen again. My thought process behind not inviting Hawk would be that he would figure out he wasn't invited and then distance himself from me, er go making my feelings for him disappear. If I've learnt anything over the last 10 years, it's that loving Hawk will only get you hurt and I don't wanna hurt anymore. Whenever I'm around him my heart aches knowing that it will never happen, even if it's now a possibility he's hurt me so much more than anyone ever has. What if we get into an argument like that again? I don't think I could handle another conversation like that. I have to use my head instead of my heart.

As I walk through the school doors, Kenny runs up to me and gives me a hug. A bright smile is now on my face. But I start to feel bad for him, he can't come to my party he'll be the youngest there. Forget it, of course he could come, Miguel, Demetri and me could look out for him. He pulls out of the hug and shoves a bag in my face. "Happy Birthday Y/n." He smiles.

"Oh Kenny, you really didn't have to." I sigh taking the bag gently.

"Of course I did, I'd have no friends and would still be getting bullied if not for you."

I smile again and pull him into another hug. This world did not deserve such a wonderful kid like Kenny. He looks up at me with the cutest smile on his face.

"You're coming to my party right?" I ask him.

Somehow his face got even brighter. "I'm invited?"

"Obviously, it wouldn't be a party without my favourite would it." I laugh while messing up his hair.
