She came back but the man had joined her. They were both clearly upset and I think they had just been disagreeing with each other and the tension filled the room until it was so uncomfortable that I couldn't stop myself from shifting where I sat.
"Paul, tie her wrists again but have her stand under the hook over there." He nodded and came towards me, lifting me easily and half carrying my against his chest and half dragging me across the floor until I stood slightly off balance in the middle of the cell. Paul looked at the woman and she nodded.
Without explanation he lifted my arms high above me and took a rope and tossed one end over a hook and tied my other wrist. The rope was tightened so I stood awkwardly on my toes and my body turned to the side slightly. My ankles were tied so tight that my ankles rubbed together whenever I tried to move. Already my shoulders were starting to hurt.
"You'll be here for a few hours until you are ready to be honest. If you are not then we will make things worse and worse for you. Please understand that we don't want this to be anymore damaging on you then it had to be but you are leaving us with no choice." They left me alone. Again.
I couldn't stop myself from turning over and over. My shoulders screamed at me and I was groaning in pain by the time they came back. Nothing in the atmosphere had changed between them while they looked at me up and down.
"Are you ready to talk to us honestly now?" She asked simply, looking me dead in the eye. "I have been...I'm not lying. I'm not even sure what you want me to admit to even if I was hiding something."
The pain made me confused, the condescending look she gave me made me feel ashamed. I shook my head randomly but then she turned again and left, leaving Paul to circle me before cutting away my clothes. I cried out I protest but the deed had been done.
