She came back with Paul at her side. Sympathy was almost on her face as she knelt down and brushed my hair out of my face as I looked up at her. "Are you ready to share more? We are still in the process of finding these men and taking care of them. This can be over once you give the information of where I can find them."
I took a moment before answering. "If I could then I would. But it's been a week they could be anywhere can't they?" My voice was strained behind the pain but she listening closely. "Fine. Then I will give you more time to remember any further details. I am proud of you for working with us at last."
Her hand left my face and she and Paul were gone again.
I still didn't want to move but I was forced to when a chair was brought behind me. Someone pulled me up and sat me down. My body was stiff and didn't want to act on what Paul wanted. There wasn't anything I could do in protest from my weakened state but my wrists were tied again, this time just to the arms of the chair.
"One question for now...what other plans of theirs did you happen to overhear?" Veronica leaned over me and put her weight on my wrists. I winced but made no sounds. Her hands were too cold and it reached to my bones. How could she have such a frightening way to her by only doing so much?
"I didn't hear anything. They kept me too weak to focus on anything helpful. I didn't think I would end up here." I tried to sound broken, which wasn't a huge stretch. She sighed and stood back up. "That's a shame but thank you for what you could remember. Well think about your time here and perhaps get back to you later tonight."
The meeting was short and then I was alone again, still tied, still naked.
