Did they put something in the air?
I couldn't focus and my train of thought was failing.
I wanted to sleep but they would be here any minute I could feel it. I had to fight it. Somehow. My eyes couldn't stop from shutting until keeping them open was about as hard as getting out of the restraints. I must have been drugged... It was the only possible reason I could logically think of.
"Veronica...let me go.." I whispered into the empty cell before letting my head fall weakly and with defeat as the door opened.
The amount of sleep I got was next to nothing. I couldn't have slept if I wanted to given the position I was in. I don't remember the door opening, only the next moment when water was poured on me in the already cold room. I think I had screamed but I couldn't remember. I couldn't even see for a while but then she was there, standing tall and expressionless, simply monitoring my reaction.
I didn't think until later to question how the water got on me since she was the only one in the room with me and there was nothing near her where water could be stored. Once my breathing calmed down she began speaking.
"You have only been here a couple of days. I have nothing to show for that other then this." She gestured to my shaking naked body. "This is a serious issue and you are the one with the information I need. So I'm going to begin now."
She grabbed my throat sharply and her long nails dug deep. I instantly made a choking sound which she greatly enjoyed. "Now you will tell me where they kept you, what they asked of you and any other information that you have. If not I will make sure you never go home. In fact I can make it look like you had died and no one will know what had become of you."
The tears flowed instantly at her words. So many people that I loved would be lied to...and I would never feel safe again.
I nodded in understanding.
Her smile gave no warmth. Shortly she removed her hand and looked at me again. "Good then begin telling me what you know."
